Gayla, ask your doctor about Zofran....it helps with being sick...it is meant for cancer patients but, works wonders for my m/s

Zofran is what I got yesterday. The nurse that did the call back yesterday seemed surprised that I wasn't given the scrip after the treatment.
Also, I developed a headache shortly aftre the chemo hat hung around for a long time. Yesterday the Doc scheduled a CT-Scan for my noggin this morning. That went pretty smoothly. Hopefully my head is 'empty',tho!
:wavey:

I am hungry, but nothing really sounds good . . . . .

Good morning all,

I am off to the Vets to pick up my two kittens sans their front claws. The Vet discovered ear mites too, so I will be putting ear drops in their ears for a few days.

The Vet said they were in very good condition, both 3 months old and both weighing in at 4 pounds. I'm thinking; why wouldn't they be in good condition?!? They run my home. LOL

They've only been gone one night, but we miss them already so we are picking them up a little early.

I'm enjoying this cooler weather (less humidity) immensely and have even been able to get a few things done outside.

Gayla: I pray you are feeling better this morning. I know what my daughter went through as I went through it with her. Some days, she survived only on popsicles. That was the only thing that sounded good to her and that she could keep down. She lost so much weight that she was wearing a size 1 in little girls clothes!

HAGD all!

Hey all!! Just back from our sailing trip - it went well and we are all only burned and bruised. ;) I'll check in again later - still have to finish unpacking the boat (I'm taking a break) and have to do a TON of laundry.

Gotta say, it's good to be on terra firma!

We have six cats - all missing their front claws. They can do damage (to me) with their back claws. One got me last night as I was weighing them. I was able to weigh five of the six - they range in weight from 7.8 to 17.6 pounds. The lightest and the heaviest both want to sit on my lap when I'm in my recliner. During the hot summer months - they often get un-invited from my lap - sometimes they just leave - because it's too hot.

But all six are members of the family - and we will certainly miss them when they are gone. They range in age from six to thirteen!

Dan - the cat lover!!

PS - both Jan and I take allergy medicine - so we don't sneeze all day long - partly at least - because we have six cats!

Good morning all,

My 'girls' are back home and they are sure happy about it!

Dan: Six cats? Oh my! I can hardly keep up with these two kittens. They are into everything!!! I bought some spray to put on my plants to keep them out, but it didn't phase them at all. They still want to chew on them. I guess I'll have to hang them (the plants - not the kittens).

I got no sewing done yesterday at all, but Brent got some more siding put up. He works like a man instead of a boy! I will sure be glad when this project is finished (so will everyone else)!

It is only 64º this morning. It is very comfortable. I know it will get hot again, but I'm sure enjoying this cooler weather while it lasts. It hasn't been getting up past 80º in the daytime.

Time for breakfast. I brought in biscuits, sausage gravy, and canteloupe. Help yourself.

HAGD!

Sticking my head in :wavey:

Cloudy day here. Canteloupe looks good Sue. I brought some grits ;)

Ron is out of town and I'm hoping to get some skirts made. I went in and worked every day last week.

I do need to go in and spend a day in the media center. I got a boatload of books in to be processed. BUT the skirts are screaming at me -- MAKE ME, MAKE ME

later!

i hope you all have a productive day. i plan to get started on the pile of projects that i have unfinished. all were to be done by august...or well before:BangHead: but m/s won out over a lot of things. i only have 21 sewing projects, the last time Cindi and i counted:tonofbricks: then, last night as i was going through some things in my room i came across some more:laugh: i didn't even bother to count them.

it looks like this week will be spent on "catching up" now lest see how far i can pull Cindi in on this:thumbs:

Hey all! A quick post and run - I just got back from taking Lauren (17) to get her wisdom teeth out (she did great) and now I need to hit the grocery store since we still have no food in the house. It's cold and rainy here - SO glad I'm home and not on the boat! :D

Tanya, last I heard you were cleaning out the kid's to small clothing and washing sheets. Doesn't sound much like you are sewing.

I however, have gotten Jenna a pair of capris made, mended Cassie a shirt (that she ended up NOT wearing  ) and cut apart Chris' old lounging pants and made a pattern out of them. I had to tape the holes in the knees together so it would lay correctly. I think that means he is about desperate for a new pair. He has to evict the cat from off his fabric first though. She's decided it makes a great place to nap!

Cold and rainy, Ann? Did New York forget it was summer? Can you send some of it down here? :D

Ya'll have a good day, I'm headed back to the sewing machine!

jeremy has baned all sewing from being done at the house. i had some smocking threads out and mimi tried to eat them. i do think i got it all from her before it was too late...only time will tell. if i didn't get it all she will have to be put down...i can't pay another huge vet bill :tonofbricks:

You all have any Chai tea chilled? Its been a long day of feuding and I would like to just relax and have someone with a nice voice sing some old hymns for these tired eyes and bones.

Thanks, yes, extra whip cream please. Oh yes thank you, I do like the cinnamon on top. Great cup of tea, thanks you so much.

Yes, we will rhyme and pray for you, Gayla. :)

Good Morning Everyone.

Hey, Bro. Williams! Is this your first time in the Coffee House? Cause we offer all sorts of drinks and ingredients to make things just special the way you like them. Occasionally you might even get one of us to actually serve you your drink. But, singing?????? I'm afraid you'll have to make do with the CD player I set up in the corner. You are welcome to sing along if you like. :D

Guess what today is? High School registration! I'm going for two bad days in a row. Today registration, tomorrow Cassie turns 15 and will get her driving permit. NOT FAIR! I don't want my baby to grow up! I like my kids at the ages they are right now. Isn't there any way to keep them from growing? (end of whine)

Oh well, at least I can shove her out the car door and let her do what's needed by herself. While she is the rest of us are headed over to the skatepark. Chris says he is getting in all of he PE now so that he'll have plenty of hours built up by the time cold weather comes. <laugh> I told him we were only staying until Cass gets done. Tanya is coming (I think) and we're going to work on her project pile some more. We made a pretty good dent in it yesterday and she didn't even complain that I left most of the hand work to her. <grin> (I hate only getting to use four smileys!)

Ya'll have a nice day.

Gayla - I'll be praying.

Today's a post and run - I have to begin to go shopping for VBS - we have our dry run tomorrow and I need to feed everyone then VBS begins Monday. I'll be feeding over 500 people daily (snacks and drinks for 375 kids and "coffee break" for 150 workers). So I'll be a shopping fiend! LOL! I need to get a check advance today because I just can't front $1200 on my own, ya know? So I'll get that in today and get the check tomorrow. I'll have to front the $160 for the dry run today though. SIGH.

So have a great day all!!

Good Morning Everybody,

Sorry I haven't been here in awhile but I threw my back out moving some furniture and I'm on pain meds + muscle relaxers + bed rest.

Sue: Now your little kittens can play as much as they want without causing WW III.

Gayla: Praying the the second course of chemo is effective with little or no side effects.

Cuz: Learner's Permit? isn't that one of the 7 great traumas of life? Childbirth-Moving-New Job-Colonoscopy...?

Donna: Congratulations! Another one to spoil rotten...er I mean "train up in the way they will go."

I've been sitting in a chair for about 90 mins. now and that's about my limit. I'll try to check back in later.

I just got finished directing VBS for 84, and I was a wreck! How on earth does one survive that many? God bless you and your VBS.

Hello everybody else. Glad to see we're still talking about kitties. Sue, did you post any pictures?

Good morning all,

Gayla: It's been three days. How are you feeling?

Bro. Williams and Bitsy: It's good to see you in the CH!

I had to make a quick trip to the doctor's yesterday to get my eyes washed out and make sure my cornea was all right (and it is - thanks to wearing my contacts).

I was using a circular saw to cut the vinyl siding and I removed my safety glasses because it was so hot they kept steaming up and I couldn't see. Some of the flecks (thanks to a gust of wind) flew up into my face, and of course my eyes.

They did scratch the eyeball area where my contacts did not cover, so I am using antibiotic drops every two hours. They are very irritated and oozing yellow gunk (sorry if this is TMI).

I have to go see the doctor again at 10:00 this morning unless I can get out of it by telling them my eyes feel a lot better (which they do).

Anyway, I have been banned from sawing for a few days. Brent will have to do the cutting and I will do the nailing. I got a reprieve today. It's raining, so I get to stay inside and do the work I normally do.

The first thing I'm doing this morning is emptying out my piggy bank (we DO save it for a rainy day). :)

It is a huge bank and hasn't been emptied for a couple of years. I'm hoping to get around $300.00 out of it so I can buy a new awning for the front door.

That should keep Brent and I both busy for most of the morning. We will sort the change and count it, then take it to the bank and have it changed into bills. Then I will go to the lumber yard and order a new white vinyl awning!

Busy day, but a more relaxing one than siding!!!

Debby: Here is a picture of the little darlings taking a cat nap instead of seeing who is the dominant one. LOL
