Sue - A calico and a tabby! A girl and a boy? What are their names?
You are certainly resourcefull, I couldn't imagine installing siding! Do take care of your eyes, though, you need them for all you do.

It's hot and steamy today in Philly, feels more like Florida in the summer. Glad I'm inside in an air-conditioned office. Can't wait for Fall! Goodbye heat!

Debby:

Miss Kitty is the tabby and Miss Callie is the calico. They are both girls and not from the same litter. However, they were only born 3 days apart.

I am not really resourceful because if we had the money, you can bet this work would be hired done!

Actually, installing the siding is a breeze. It's all the measuring, marking, cutting, and climbing up and down on the scaffold and ladder that is hard.

I will be SO glad when it is finished! Before that we installed replacement windows and revamped the sun porch with paneling and new curtains (I still have one valance to sew).

When all of this is finished, all the rooms inside need to be painted. Needless to say, my summer has not been that much fun so far. LOL

Hi folks,

This week's treatment was not quick and I did get kinda sick. Just really nauseas and headache, nothing came up.:applause:

Went to get a refill on the nausea med, and my insurance will only approve 15 pills every 30 days! That is not a good thing for me. In fact, I broke this morning's dose in half, now it's time for more. (8 hour dosage)

Gayla -- That makes me steam! I've had the same think happen with my migraine meds. What do they think? I'm gonna take them when I don't have a migraine? *sheesh*

Hang in their sweetie. You are being bathed in prayer. AND now we can pray for your insurance as well.

I just got finished directing VBS for 84, and I was a wreck! How on earth does one survive that many? God bless you and your VBS.

LOL - Remember, I said we have a staff of 150. Our church staff is over 40 people and it's "all hands on deck" so we have a ton of help. We've been having monthly meetings since June and I know each department has meetings too - and just Thursday was our "dry run" where we get together, go over what will happen each day, the departments get their materials together and all that kind of thing. Sunday will be the day we all stay at church and work, work, work. I'll pick up the final food then too. I have to say, it really runs like a well-oiled machine! It's always amazing to watch.

Well, I'm off - running again. I have to go to church to finish the computer work for Pastor's sermon (it's got lots of graphics so it's taking way longer than normal), then I have to set up all the stuff for VBS as far as the songs and missions project that we'll show the kids. Our missions project this year is to adopt the Managua city dump's school (can't remember the name of it) in Nicaragua. We've got a group of 17 people who went down there on a mission's trip (they'll be back tonight) and it's a very sad place - 600 families living in the DUMP in Managua. But a missionary started a school there for the children and they provide one meal a day for the children when they can. The days they have a meal for the kids, they all come but when there is no meal provided, most of the children don't show. So the plan is to raise $6,000 (way more than we've ever raised before - we are usually around $4,000) so that we can provide one meal a week for all the children for a year. That would end up being $15 per child at VBS to bring in for offering - a lot but with God's help, we can do it.

Have a wonderful day all!

The little lady and I have six cats that own our home!

All six own her - and five of the six own me!

Ishe - pronounced Izzy - big (17.5 lbs) mostly gray with some white - always wants to sit on my lap - altered male.

George Floyd - about 12 pounds - white with black markings - will sit beside me - altered male.

Beeger - about 12 pounds - white with gray tiger markings - just lately will come and sit on my lap - altered male.

Cali - about 7.5 pounds - white with calico markings - argues with Ishe over who will sit on my lap - mother of George Floyd and Beeger - altered female.

Punkin - orange tiger - about 9 pounds - comes to me if I'm eating meat - if I'm preparing meat - begs for the food - altered female.

Puddin - weight unknown - white with one blue eye and one green/yellow eye - afraid of her own shadow - afraid of me - I have to be very sneaky to get a hand on her - she seems to know when I want Jan to get a hold of her - so I can weigh her - and even escapes from her (I'm guessing she weighs around 13-14 pounds) - Jan calls her Princess P - but I tell her that Puddin is on her birth certificate. Altered female.

All have their front claws removed!

Have a good day!

Dan: You are a brave man. Two kittens are enough for me!

Good morning all,

The weather has been cooler here so I have taken advantage of that blessing to work outside. It will be turning hot again tomorrow, so I will be inside in the A/C where I can breathe.

My eyes are fine now. The antibiotic drops did the trick. I still can't wear my contacts (or my make-up), but that is nothing compared to being able to see clearly again.

I am anxiously waiting for the phone to ring. My son, Vern, calls me every other Sunday. That is such a blessing since I only get to visit him once a year. Of course, we write every week, but it's not the same as hearing a voice or getting a hug...

Brent is a bus 'runner' so he is already gone. I enjoy this small piece of quiet time on Sunday before the day gets hectic.

HAGD all!

Good Morning Everyone!

I have survived!!!!!

Cassie has her permit and I've been able to let go of the steering wheel and let her drive some without having a heart attack. :D I do tell her sometimes that the grass is making itch, cause she loves to hug the edge of the road!

Yesterday, we spent most of the day doing karate. Got woke up by the instructors wife who had forgotten to call and tell us she we were needed for late testing. No wonder she had, though. They were up till midnight and beyond cutting wood for the board break a thon that we held yesterday afternoon to benefit St. Jude's Childrens Hospital. We had a great turnout. Raised around $1,100 just at the event. Pledges aren't due in until Aug. 4 so we won't know until then if we met our goal of $5000.

Ya'll have a blessed Sunday!

Howdy!:wavey:

I start to feel more normal on Sundays. I am taking a shot called Neupogen to keep the White blood cell count up. Side effects of it are fatigue and flu-like symptoms. (Yuck)

I will be getting a new Life-Port put in Tuesday, so hopefully Wednesday's treatment will go better.

OK guys - I think I'm ready for VBS. Please pray for all of us! It's going to be a good year - I can feel it. :D

So I'm off to bed early - it's going to be an early day tomorrow since I forgot to order the 6 dozen bagels and I need to call them as soon as they open in the morning. YIKES!

Just dropping in for a minute.

We had a tragic, senseless, death (hit by a drunk driver) in our extended family, yesterday morning. Diana was 30 years old and left behind 3 small children plus 2 of my granddaughters that she has been raising (in Wisconsin) for several years.

My granddaughters future is 'up in the air' right now and I'm getting too old and my health too bad to take on two more children - but I sure wish I could have them! They are Brent's sisters.

Anyway, I didn't stop by this morning because I was still in a state of shock and just didn't feel like making 'small talk'.

Diana was killed on impact. One minute she and her husband were talking and laughing - the next minute she was dead and splattered all over the highway.

Diana was not saved and that makes it all the harder to bear.

You never know when death will come quickly. We must be ready, for none of us are guaranteed tomorrow...

It's been a long day and I think it's time for me to retire for the night.

Pleasant dreams all.

So sorry to read about the sad passing of the young lady. May the Lord lift up her family and give them peace. Another senseless killing by an alcohol soaken sod.

Cheers,

Jim
