Gib must have 'hit the sack' but he'll love it when he does see it! We'll have to keep bumping it or should put it on the Pit Stop too! You're a talented girl, my friend.

Well... sleep well, all. I'm going to head to bed and fall asleep watching Trading Spaces. Tomorrow is my big cleaning day and we home school except on major holidays so we can take off for 'nothing special days'.

Love to you all!

Looks like most have enjoyed a blessed Lord's Day and are tired. Still have a Christmas luncheon Monday, then better get serious.

Like NOT MISSING A BOWL GAME. Man, there are times when "having" to sit (with laptop and TV remote) for 3.5 hours of therapy a day!! There IS a silver lining to my illness.

Will check back to see if a "creature is stirring" . . but don't hold your breath!

Only a computer junkie could find that C.J. My momma still calls me "Ace" and my 2 sisters "Queen of Hearts" and Queen of Diamonds. :eek:

Good morning all,

My darling wife succeeded in giving me her cold - I usually enjoy sharing with her - but this is a little beyond the call of duty.

Good Morning Everyone! I love the new signatures too! I think they make the board look inviting and more colorful. On www.justmoms.com we could choose our font size and color but that caused a problem because some would choose pale pink and no one could see it. LOL

Thank you for the Birthday Wishes! Nick let me sleep til 8:30 and then woke me, made me a cup of tea and gave me the present he chose and bought all by himself. It's a 'crystal' church trinket box. It's very pretty and he knew I'd love it.

Dr. Bob, before we got the computer, I used to dread bowl games because there was nothing for ME to do. Living in a house full of men, I don't get a vote. LOL. At least now I have something else to do.

Well last night I finished all the visitation cards from our Fall Festival. I'm 'thinking about' making a mailing list of each family with AWANA age children but think I'll talk to the AWANA secretary, who is one of our church secretary's too, before I do all the work and find it can't be loaded into her computer that way.

Okie Dokie, time to quickly check the rest of the board and then get my laundry started.

CJ, those are great pictures, but if I am not mistaken the real Blackbird Brother David may be referring to, in his "Displayed Name," is shown below.

Good morning Dr. Bob, CJ, Sue, Gib, Dan, and Diane! Hope you folks had a wonderful Christmas Day celebration. Here in the Big Apple we had a peaceful one, except these half-wits who tried to tarnish the Big Apple's reputation. One was hijacking a bus from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. He was picked up at Kennedy Airport two hours later. The other one was a pilot who took his father and kids over the Statue of Liberty, and other restricted NYC areas. His excuse was, "I am sorry!" When the nation has an orange alert, and NYC even a higher one, people listen to radios, reads it in the papers, and spoon fed daily through the TV, you can actually believe that somebody did not know (especially a licensed pilot) that there are restricted areas? Common, give me a break! And this fellow will not be charged..... The Police must be pretty magnanimous for the latter part of 2003.

But otherwise we had a wonderful celebration with the family. Our youngest grandson, Micah, was jumping from one gift to another and opened the papers only. He thought that that was it! He did not look at the gift itself, he was satisfied with opening the shiny wrapping papers, ribbons, and bows. When we asked him to open the boxes themselves, and he actually found out what was inside, he would say, WOW!, while his two older siblings (Tori and Noah) would roll on the floor from laughter.

"Blackbird" is not a BIRD???????? Well, I'm shocked!!! :eek: Never thought about him being anything BUT a bird...given his last name and all!! Oh well, one never stops learning, does one???

Barnabas... can't believe those two "incidents" weren't all over the headline news!! Of course, they may have been, and I was either opening presents, eating, or watching football and missed the coverage!! :D

I woke up early this morning, but as soon as I realized I didn't have to go to work, I turned over and went back to sleep!! I'm now up, drinking coffee, reading the paper, BB'ing and thinking about getting ready to run a couple of errands. Then home and work on my stitchery projects!! Life is good!!!

I used to always be up by 6:30 but over the last two years, with Jim working either out of our house or evenings, I got used to sleeping later. Since we home school, I do my major chores early and get Nick to his school work by 10:00. This morning, tho, he and Dad had some errands to do so we'll school later or not at all. That's the nice thing about home schooling. You can take off when the regular schools do or just figure out your own schedule, as long as you do the state required time and days.

Jim took my charm bracelet AGAIN to the jewelers. The fella has been closed since Christmas Eve. I feel so naked without it on! I've only had it off long enough for charms to be soldered on since last Christmas. I do hope he's opened and not staying closed til the New Year!

Off to start another load of laundry! No day off here! LOL

God's richest blessings to you all!

TGIM to all! Start of another week and, as I've learned, every day above ground is a good day.

Last night I attended church and no song leader showed up. So hobbled up to the pulpit (no prep) and God led me to some wonderful eclectic blend of songs.

Tried to quit after a couple and the pastor got up and said how blessed it was and keep singing. So got half an hour of MY favorites!

How Firm a Foundation
Abide With Me
The God of Abraham Praise
Great is Thy Faithful
Joy in Serving Jesus

When We See Christ -- I choked up on the words of that last one

"Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We're tempted to complain, to murmur and despair;
But Christ will soon appear to catch His bride away -
All tears forever over in God's eternal day!

It WILL be worth it all - when we see Jesus;
Life's trials will seem to small - when we see Christ
One glimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase;
So bravely run the race, 'til we see Christ."

Amen! Isn't that the truth, Dr. Bob!

Just got in from church. I dropped off all the cards and maps I did and picked up yesterday's visitors cards for contacting. Had a nice visit with 2 of our secretary's, the Minister of Ed. and Music Minister. Everyone is in such a joyful mood today too. Even tho attendance was down, we had many visitors!

Sheila, when do you begin classes again? What courses will you be taking this term?

So Gib says this is a short week for him. Those cable guys... he's probably telling people 'we'll be out sometime between 7:00 a.m. Dec. 30th and 9:00 p.m. Jan. 6th and someone must be home to let us in. LOLOLOLOL Just kidding Gib!

So what's everybody doing this fine afternoon?? Diane, are you enjoying your birthday? Can't believe you're doing LAUNDRY on your BIRTHDAY...how about just taking the day off??

What kind of cake did you make for Nick? What kind of cake did Jim make for YOU?? :D

Got all my running around done, and now am going to settle in to watch a couple of movies on DVD. I have Black Stallion, Sound of Music, and My Fair Lady!! Hard to choose which one to watch because they are all some of my favorites!!

No offense C.J., but Cheryl would watch the latter 2 to clear out the living room. We would find things to do that we would not normally do under any other circumstance.

Hello everyone,

Diane, I hope you are enjoying your birthday.

CJ, whoops, I can't remember what you posted. sorry. We have been out most of the day and I still feel cold. I don't seem to be able to stop coughing today. I am going to spend the evening curled up in front of the fire reading.

Gib, I think I have at last worked out the word scramble you posted ages ago.

I will look in later,

God Bless

Sheila
