LOL! Gib, that's funny!

C.J., only ONE cake. Nick decided he's too old for a character cake and just wanted chocolate. I don't eat many sweets and will only take a tiny slice to keep Nick from being upset.

Oh yeah.... I never take a day off unless I'm so very sick I can't stand up. Laundry, church work, vacuuming, etc.... Sent out some resumes for Jim, the list goes on and the day is far from over!

By the way...I hope SOMEBODY posts a follow-up in the Announcements forum to remind everybody to vote for MOY!!! I am waiting till the last minute, and hopefully I won't get so "un-wound", I forget to vote!!! I'd sure hate to lose out on all those promises!!! :D

It has been a lazy day around here today also. I even got to take a nap! I made a pot of ham and beans this morning. All I have to do is bake the cornbread and supper will be ready...

I'd made a pork roast and hated for it to go to waste so we heated it up and added potatoes, blackeyed peas (my favorite) and some other goodies. Jim made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate chips IN it.... and I don't really like chocolate but NICK loves it! LOL

We just finished eating and got the dishes in the d/w! The kids all called and we had gone to the mall this afternoon. Jon gave me a $50. gift certificate for Yankee Candle and they have a big 25- 50% off sale so I got almost $100. worth of candles for that!

Yeah, the Fire Chief is a friend of ours from church and Jim called and got a burn permit before he lit them. LOLOLOLOL

I don't understand why you keep putting the Fortune City Logo on the site as it doesn't do anything for me. :confused:

Ever get frustrated by incompetence? 3 weeks ago I took in a master sheet (front and back, 4 to a page) of post cards for reminding folks of appointments at the clinic. Local printer had card stock, would print them all and cut them. Cheap.

Went by before Christmas and their only xerox type machine that handles such heavy stock was "down". They called today. Cards finished.

500 sheets, 2000 cards. All cut and bundled. And they FORGOT to print one side! Yep. All blank. And now unable to be run through since they are too small.

Wanted to give them to me for 25% off. I looked at the sales gal, smiled, and said, No - I'll pay the full amount . . when you finish the job.

She said I was being "mean" and "petty". It was an oversight, an accident. The side with all the pertinent info was okay; it was the reverse with the return address and place for label, etc that was blank.

Well, today Dr. Bob is "mean" and "petty". I gave them until Friday (because of the holiday) to get it done or I would contact the Better Business Bureau.

This is what I get for working today. Grrrr.
