I disagree that the military should be a path to citizenship. And then, while we are at it, start taxing the Catholic Church. No more Mr. Nice Guy… and make them pay reparations for funding this invasion. And make it hurt!
Im sorry but your not facing reality. Our country has been hollowed out from the inside. The true “Powers that Be” are moving their money away from the G7 to BRICS. That might be a slow transition but it’s happening in real time. We have givin our manufacturing and a lot of the tech development to the Chinese… just what do you think can be done to right this ship?
What I’m suggesting is to give these people a path to citizenship ( not an easy one but a n opportunity none the less). Immigrants have always looked for opportunities to serve this country and in return be legitimately recognizing. My own clan has fought and died for this country. One of my hero’s came from County Cork Ireland and joined up at 16 as a paratrooper, fought in WW2, lost his leg and we put him in a Memorial Day parade as the grand marshal. He earned it and much more if I can be honest. He also served as a substitute father to me after my own dad died. So why should we not give these people the chance to live a respectable life same as afforded to us…of course, there is a price to be paid.
Instead, I believe since the US allowed them to enter illegally we should offer a path to citizenship that includes a background check. Once they are legal resident aliens they can serve if they want to serve.
The problem I have with using these illegal aliens for military service is this is no better than the Democrats who want them as slave labor.
Once they have a legal status then let them choose to serve in the military or not to serve in the military. Keep it a volunteer service.
Im also apprehensive about allowing people into the military without those people having patriotism to our nation.
