By His Stripes ye were healed !

1 Pet 2:24

24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

This is one of the most damaging verses to the false claims of the false teachers, that state that Christ's Death alone or here called His Stripes, does not save those He died for ! One of the meanings of the word healed here is to bring about ones Salvation, to effect it. Its the greek word iaomai:

I heal, generally of the physical, sometimes of spiritual, disease.

iáomai (a primitive verb, NAS dictionary) – healing, particularly as supernatural and bringing attention to the Lord Himself as the Great Physician (cf. Is 53:4,5).

The word is used in Lk 17:15

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

/iáomai ("to heal") draws the attention to the Lord, the supernatural Healer, i.e. beyond the physical healing itself and its benefits

The Death of Christ alone emits or sends forth a Supernatural healing unto those He died for !

It means :

to make whole i. e. to free from errors and sins, to bring about (one's) salvation: Matthew 13:15; John 12:40; Acts 28:27 (from Isaiah 6:10)

In other words, His Stripes causes, effects, brings about the Spiritual conversion of all for whom He died, that's Salvation !

Now Peter by Inspiration of God credits solely the Death of Christ, or His Stripes for the Salvation of the Believers He wrote to !

Again this Truth is damaging to the false witness of those who say, the death of Christ does not save anyone ! It makes them a Liar !

You keep running to any verse you think will support your view and ignore all those that prove your view is wrong.

1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
1Co 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Now you can continue to put forward your false narrative of saved by His death but the bible proves you wrong.

Christ's death appeased God so that He could by His grace save those that believe in His risen son.

BF you need to think through what you are saying.

Since the whole world is reconciled to God through Christ on the cross you have just made the claim that the whole world will be saved.

That is universalism BF, a heresy.

The bible does not say there a no unicorns either, so do you believe there are unicorns BF?
You need to rethink through your God dishonoring comment. Where in the bible does it say the Death of Christ saved no one ? Thats statement can be inspired only by one evil source. Now those reconciled by His death shall never be lost ? And we know many are lost. So how in carnation did Christ die for them ? Do you deny that those Christ died for are reconciled to God now ?

You keep asking the question BF and we keep giving you the answer from the bible but you just will not accept it.

So I will try once more and perhaps this time it will sink in.

G2433
- Original: ἱλάσκομαι
- Transliteration: Hilaskomai
- Phonetic: hil-as’-kom-ahee
- Definition:
1. to render one’s self, to appease, conciliate to one’s self
a. to become propitious, be placated or appeased
b. to be propitious, be gracious, be merciful

NOTE: The G2433 does not mean SAVED.

Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation G2433 for the sins of the people. KJV

G2434
- Original: ἱλασμός
- Transliteration: Hilasmos
- Phonetic: hil-as-mos’
- Definition:
1. an appeasing, propitiating
2. the means of appeasing, a propitiation

1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation G2434 for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. KJV

NOTE: The G2434 does not mean SAVED.

G2644
- Original: καταλλάσσω
- Transliteration: Katallasso
- Phonetic: kat-al-las’-so
- Definition:
1. to change, exchange, as coins for others of equivalent value
a. to reconcile (those who are at variance)
b. return to favour with, be reconciled to one
c. to receive one into favour

Rom 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled G2644 to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, G2644 we shall be saved by his life. KJV

NOTE: The G2444 does not mean SAVED.

God has been appeased through the death of Jesus on the cross so that all can be saved through faith in the risen Christ.
Those who Christ reconciled, propitiated God for are saved. The whole world of 1 Jn 2:2 is saved. Are you a universalist now ? Cause everyone isnt saved. Are these folks saved from wrath Job 21:30

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

Also to be received into Gods favor is saved, accepted in the beloved. The word reconciled katallassō :

  1. to change, exchange, as coins for others of equivalent value
    1. to reconcile (those who are at variance)
    2. return to favour with, be reconciled to one
    3. to receive one into favour

We can only be favored in and through Christ. For instance Eph 1:6

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein
he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

The word accepted charitoō :

  1. to make graceful
    1. charming, lovely, agreeable
  2. to persue with grace, compass with favour
  3. to honour with blessings

Now if God has received one into favor on the basis of the Death of His Son for them, they are saved, accepted by Him.

To be saved, the word saved doesnt always have to literally used.

Now is someone accepted in Gods favor lost and under His wrath ?

To be healed in 1 Pet 2:24 means to be saved,to experience salvation. How was it done. The counterpart is Isa 53:5

One writer writes:

The chastisement of our peace; those punishments by which our peace, i.e. our reconciliation to God, and salvation, or happiness, was to be purchased.

Was upon him; was laid upon him by God’s justice with his own consent.

With his stripes we are healed; by his sufferings we are saved from our sins, and from the dreadful effects thereof.

BF you can ignore the clear verses that disprove your odd view but that will not change the truth of scripture.

We are not saved by Christ on the cross but rather by faith in the risen Christ.

I will let Paul answer you BF.

Eph 1:13 And in Him, having heard and believed the word of truth—the gospel of your salvationyou were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,
Eph 1:14 who is the pledge of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession, to the praise of His glory.

Rom 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Rom 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Now you can continue to search for verses that you think disprove what Paul has clearly said but then you are pitting yourself against the Holy Spirit.

Them whom Christ died for and reconciled to God, are saved, they are accepted into His Favor. What does reconciled mean ? How were they reconciled to God ? Can they be lost who are reconciled by His death ?

How do you have Faith in Christ and deny His Death saved, healed them He died for ?

Because I actually believe what the bible says in clear scripture.

I do not have to read into verses as you are doing BF. You should trust the clear verses to teach you.

Why you still deny the clear text can only be explained by the fact you do not trust the word of God.

BF you have asked and have been answered a number of times do you think asking the same question 50 times will get you a different answer?

The scripture teaches that the Death/blood of Christ saved/justified them He died for, and you dont believe that. You believe the death of Christ made saving possible. Thats not Faith in Christ, thats faith in whatever actually saved you.

How are they reconciled to God according to Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Thats in Gods Favor. Thats saved

I am always amazed at how closed minded those of the C/R view can be.

You give them clear scripture that proves their view is wrong and they will jump threw hoops and search for any verse they can find that they think supports their view but just will not accept the clear word of God.
