Refuse To Be Baptized?

My comment was in response to your saying the following about me:

I never said anything that supports your even suggesting that I hold such a view or my "direction" is such and such.

As a clarification, what I should have said was the following:

"I have not said anything that supports your statement that 'my direction is that we are not supposed to disciple people . . .'"
Thank you for the clarification. I purposefully phrased my statement so that you could easily deny it.

I made that suggestion because you never directly responded to my asking whether the Great Commission in Matthew commanded the soul winner to teach the new convert about baptism.

I couldn't get into a university in Canada.

Second, I am trying to act safe here, they can spy on my web searchers...

Again, I am a Bptist. I am just trying to find a church.

Where else do I go?

Do not let the ramblings of Aaron get you down. What he is saying smacks more of legalism than of the love of Christ.

Should you be baptized, yes, but if you cannot then that, as Aaron did say, does not affect whether you are saved or not.

Do you have any Christian friends there? If you do you can have communion with them or if necessary you can do it yourself.
What did Christ say
1Co 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread,
1Co 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.
1Co 11:25 In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”
1Co 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

He did not say it had to be in a group or lead by a pastor/minister.

You said B4 that you do not consider sprinkling to be baptism, while I do think one should be dunked you have to remember that it is what is in the heart that matters. Being baptized is just your public profession of your faith in Christ Jesus as savior and Lord.

Pray and ask God to give you guidance in this matter.

I almost suggested that you seek out some true believers, but when you said you went to China because no school in the west would take you, I knew you weren't there for the sake of the Gospel, and I didn't want to take the risk of you being followed and exposing true Christians and getting them arrested.

The loutish Siverhair seems to be completely oblivious to the danger you can pose there to Baptists.

@Aaron tell me what you really think.

You came across to @KJB1611reader in a way that seemed more to discourage than to lift up. Quite un Christian of you.

Who are you to judge another's servant.

FYI as for not getting into a school in Canada, there may not have been any spots open by the time they got to his application.

Thanks for protecting me. Though I do wish to get true Christiananity out there.

My grades weren't high and there wasn't much good options either.

Second, Canada is not as great - prices are high, housing crisies, job crisies.

There is nothing wrong with China - its just like the west - the people nice, ... ykythe rest.

By your own admission there's no church in your area with whom you can fellowship, so I'm not sure what good can come of attending them. But what you do is up to you. I was only telling you what my response was going to be, because you seem to be hiding some things.

Silverhair concluded his post with saying to pray, and that is always good advice.

There is two churches with a man preaching, I didn't hear any wrong sermons yet.

Though I am not sure if they are Lordship, other than that; I see no issue.

Besides the sprinkle and only permit water baptism people to take communion.

You are welcome. I knew what you did and why you did it. Still, a lack of response does not justify ascribing positions to people.

I take my time in responding and have many other obligations.

I apologize for seeming to ascribe a position to you. I was trying a technique to get an answer, not to ascribe anything. So I phrased it that way.

And we're all busy. :Coffee I know I am. Had three visa issues presented to me as the PDSO (in charge of such things) of our college.

God bless. Catch you n some other thread.
