I would like to know if we are or not too. I see the sodomite community coming out of their closets and bearing all. Are we to keep quiet in the christian forums in the future and NOT SPEAK OUT against this sin?????This thread probably violates the "no human sexuality threads" rule.

ANYBODY??
Considering that this is one of the very liberal denominations, I'm surprised that they rejected the abomination of same sex marriage.
Glad they did, though.
UMC Social Principles. Paragraph 161G. "Homosexual persons no less than heterosexual persons are individuals of sacred worth. All persons need the ministry and guidance of the church in their struggles for human fulfillment, as well as the spiritual and emotional care of a fellowship that enables reconciling relationships with God, with others, and with self. Although we do not condone the practice of homosexuality and consider this practice incompatible with Christian teaching, we affirm that God's grace is available to all. We implore families and churches not to reject or condemn their lesbian and gay members and friends. We commit ourselves to be in ministry for and with all persons."
Thanks for the clarity!:thumbsup:We've debated the sin of homosexuality plenty of times around here without any moderator having a problem. I don't think the rule applies to discussing homosexuality as a sin. It applies to in depth talking about matters of sexuality.
Add the phrase for now. I pastored in the UMC for 13 years. This so-called debate has been a constant and persistent issue.
Padre,
If and when the (leadership of the ) UMC succeeds in the immoral behavior, what % of churches do you think would leave the UMC?
Would they become "Independent" methodists, join with Free, Wesleyan,Southern ect groups?
