That does not make the slightest bit of sense, but then most of what HG says leaves me scratching my headI can show you where the English maintains the meaning while you will try to show me where the Greek doesn't.
I know how to use the Strong's concordance fairly well. It has been widely accepted except when some one tries to correct it.
You realize that Strong's is very basic, giving two or three words, when the BAGD lexicon often takes several pages.I know how to use the Strong's concordance fairly good. it has been widely accepted except when some one tries to correct it.
Which versions from the Majority text did you compare?i have used the KJV for many years and done some comparisons to the versions which comes from what some call the Majorioty texts.
I find it interesting that one would know so much about interpretation and translation not knowing the source language. To answer the both of you, and by both i do not include whatever is said by those on "ignore": I can show where the English is taken from the Greek and is maintained. You will deny the Greek says what it says.
Seems to me that the first and last paragraphs are contradictory.Because everyone isn't a Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic student, and even if we all were, then we would remain subject to our teachers who might not even know God.
So now you may start attacking the KJV translators but don't forget, God used a murderer to give us five books, an adulterer to give us many Psalms, and some other deviants to also give us inspired words from the mind of God.
A majority doesn't make God subject to a democratic systematic theology. You realize that Strong's is very basic, giving two or three words, when the BAGD lexicon often takes several pages.
Which versions from the Majority text did you compare?
How many books do you have published on the subject?I find it interesting that one would know so much about interpretation and translation not knowing the source language.
Maybe your "fence' is a wall that should take Eph 2:14 into consideration?Seems to me that the first and last paragraphs are contradictory.
Poor work and good work is done by those on both sides of the fence.
Translation must be done by someone who has integrity and skill.
Ruckman and Riplinger are heretics who are so misled and deceived that I would not trust one word from them because of their lack of skill and proven abundance of ignorance.
That wasn't the question. You said you that have "done some comparisons to the versions which comes from what some call the Majorioty texts." My question is what versions that come from the Majority texts have you compared?A majority doesn't make God subject to a democratic systematic theology.
Yes. And Strong's is very inadequate in this respect.Any lexicon that gives a full view of the language translated into another is very well appreciated
Can you quote me where I wrote the KJV is a poor work? Please give the post number and URL.Harold Garvey said:Are you calling the KJV "poor work"? Of course you are!
In Spanish ¿Cómo estás? and ¿Cóma está? translate with the same exact words but have much different usages.Harold Garvey said:Any lexicon that gives a full view of the language translated into another is very well appreciated
The translators of the KJV did not make such lofty claims of themselves as the KJVO folks do about the translators. I found it astounding that the KJVO folks would add words to what the translators actually wrote.Harold Garvey said:Are the holy men, who are so close to being like the same holy men that were moved of God to pen His word, somehow subject to your opinion that give us ample resources to show us all there is nothing wrong with the KJV?
Um, their absence of making the claim makes them holy and humble. Some people realize this fact, others keep attacking anyone they deem as being "KJVO" in some very underhanded ways.:sleep:The translators of the KJV did not make such lofty claims of themselves as the KJVO folks do about the translators.
