Holy Ghost Explosion

My older brother went to an Assembly of God church one time and said that a woman from the back came down the aisle doing cartwheels . . .
This happened in a Southern Baptist church. It was 'Youth Day' or some other such nonsense, and the kid was going to 'praise with all his might.' Did backflips from the back of the aisle to the front.

'Holy Laughter' anyone.
I didn't catch the joke. Did anybody else?

Everytime I think I've seen the Scale of Stupid climb to its highest, something like holy laughter comes along and I have to recalibrate the scale.

Doesn't even touch the surface. There was a charismatic revival in Canada where they were crawling around on their hands and knees and howling saying they were "howling for Jesus".

My example probably won't compare to that one, but I read about the phenomenon called "barking in the Spirit." People barked like a dog. Maybe the next step from barking is howling. Or is it laughing?

The churches that do this are going to the dogs.

When it comes to being in touch with the Spirit, it sounds like they're barking up the wrong tree.

I don't really want to know how these church members greet each other.

I thought it was a group aerobic class.

I now know how David would have been accused by Michal of "exposing himself" if he was dancing like that :)

I think the fact comments were disabled for that video is telling.

At 1:25 into this there is a man leading another man (crawling on the floor) with a leash. Seems odd that someone would have a dog leash in church unless they anticipated doing this. Maybe a bit contrived?

Such heresy is always contrived. But that is a good piece of evidence.
