My view is that being affiliated with a Baptist assembly is less important than getting basic doctrine correct and that would mean avoiding membership in any denomination that ordains outside of the clear instruction in 1 Tim ch. 3 and Titus. I know that there is a lot of disagreement here and I have a good friend, a solid Biblical born again believer who belongs to a Wesylan church (but with a male pastor).

My particular assembly would allow me to assume a deacon or elder position and would if I desired to be pastor appoint me if I completed the necessary educatinal requirements however my personal view is that I don't meet the strict requirements as noted in 1 Tim and Titus.

    Induidual soul liberty.

problem is that there are NO examples within the NT that give us the option to have females ordained in pastoral position within the churches, can be deacons per Bible, and perhaps as missionaries/teachers of say children church, but NOT as head pastoral authority, as that falls under 'headship"

That is why I would probably go towards say Evangelical free Church, as solid baptist, except goes to "free grace" position...

Like their liberty to decide on individual issuesd such as gifts or not, timing of second coming etc also, "true " baptists in allowing for individual understanding in doctrines "soul liberty"

Some hold that not ordaiing women deal breaker, other allowing Gifts, others not be reformed etc!

See, I'm the opposite. On vacation we went to a church where it turns out there was a woman pastor. We walked out. Completely apostate according to Scripture.

I would do the only logical thing and start a new Baptist church in our living room.

Does that mean both you and DHK see baptists as being only NT Christian churches?

    Huh?

So the Salvation Army is an 'apostate' organization?

Or the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod?

I actually don't think a church is apostate if it doesn't ordain women, just tragically and sadly mistaken.
