I was not trying to insult you. I was sincerely and tactfully trying to get you to think in a different direction. It didn't work.

And the attitude you show in this post is exactly why I avoid you on the BB when at all possible, and why I have absolutely no desire to debate you any more on this thread. Have a good day.

I notice, Luke, that most posters in this thread don't agree with your
obsession on the correction of us so-called heretic IFBs.

And I still believe that there was a saved remnant that went undergound to protect itself from persecution and extinction....how else could the
manuscripts survive the real heretic RCC ??? You know, the so-called Christians that burned people at the stake if they wouldn't baptize their babies and wouldn't call the Pope the head of the church??? THOSE martyrdoms are well documented.

And this is definitely the ROOT of the Baptist distinctives.

http://www.allaboutbaptists.com/distinctives.html

on the Baptist history page referenced above is this quote - (please read)

There are four views which attempt to provide the historical origins of the Baptists. Each one has a ring of truth but trying to prove one to be more accurate than the others is a challenge.
If the arguments over our historical heritage were directed from the outside, that would be one thing. Actually, it is we who are on the inside who cannot agree. Perhaps one of the following views is accurate. Then, again, maybe all are true to some varying degree.

Still, let it be said, that our historical origins should never be a cause for devisiveness or division. We are here in this day and this age. Let us leave such a history so that those who follow us will have a good example in what we accomplished for the Kingdom.

This means that they had a lousy teacher. Any martial arts teacher who would inject TM and/or mantra into Judo training is an idiot. Judo was simply not constructed that way by it's founder, Jigaro Kano. Asian spirituality is very rare in Judo training. (I'm a brown belt in Judo and cross-ranked 2nd black in Jujutsu.)

On the other hand, there is a legitimate concern about too much Asian spiritualism in some styles of Aikido. I have on occasion warned folks about that.

Two things.

I don't care what most people agree with. Neither should you.

Secondly, it's only IFB folks who disagree with it. What did you expect?

Furthermore the point is that you don't get to utilize catholic orthodoxy, have no orthodoxy of your own from your own invisible baptistic people and at the same time claim to not have come from the catholic church.

Go back and read the quote I added to the post. Please stop thinking its only IF Baptists that believe this theory...they are ALL theories, by the way.

The most important time I did so in the last decade was when I left the IFB.

I never said it was only IFB who cling to this error.

Seriously Luke, if you still harbor this much hate against IFB then you need to seek some counseling, because this isn't right to the born again Christians that are IFB, and it is not healthy for you.

It is not right to NOT hate every thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

Much IFB philosophy and thinking does just that.
