Apostle paul tells us to believe in jesus NOW, lest heart gets harden from deceit...
Adressed to the Elect or not?
Are you really asking this? Seriously, are you really asking this question? Could you please stop with all the questions. If you want to discus something, give us something. Say something. If you want to discuss if the elect can die and go to hell, then give us YOUR opinion on the matter. We don't need someone to start a thread on the topic of Calvinism. We have too many already. You are now just trolling.

Adressed to the Elect or not?
Why would the Apostle paul warn us against hardening our hearts and not be able to trust in Christ IF the elect will always come to Christ?
For your information, had non cal friend ask me this!
Thanks
The question is God's sovereignty vs mans' will. The elect will always come to him, but who is the elect? We don't know a person is elect until they believe. I know that God is sovereign and that I won't die until the day he want's me to die. But that doesn't mean I'm about to jump off the empire state building either.

Folks, did you notice the Calvinists attempting to silence a question rather than answer it?
Hey Van.....did you ever notice...the "folks" never answer you back????
Willis,
In regards to the OP...I would ask this.....
Can a person be saved and lost at the same time?
Can a person be elect and non elect at the same time?
If so......I would like to know what they were saved from....and what were they elected to????

QUOTE=convicted1;1793961]This is a "lame duck" thread, imo. I don't think it will gather much in regards to quantity or quality. This thread is nothing more than a "fruitless vine", if you ask me. It needs to be cut off and cast into the fire. :QUOTE]

First, be accurate. Paul said:Apostle paul tells us to believe in jesus NOW, lest heart gets harden from deceit...
Adressed to the Elect or not?
First, be accurate. Paul said:
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
The commandment isn't to believe, it's to take heed and to exhort. This is addressed to his "brethren." Those who have professed a faith and Christ, and who partake of the Lord's table.

Also 2 Cor 6:1-3
And working together with Him, we also urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain— 2 for He says,
“AT THE ACCEPTABLE TIME I LISTENED TO YOU,
AND ON THE DAY OF SALVATION I HELPED YOU.”
Behold, now is “THE ACCEPTABLE TIME,” behold, now is “THE DAY OF SALVATION”— 3 giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,
Apostle paul wanted them NOT to receive grace in vain...
How can the Elect receive it in vain?
