Did you read that scripture and look at the link? If he took the thief on the cross with Him into paradice then he could not be in hell.
Luke 23:43
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Jesus went into paradise not hell and torment.
I would point all to this link for a complete understanding;

I understand the verse. From the perspective of the thief, it is a true statement. God also teaches Jesus was in hell and sang praises to the Father, then rose. This teaching is much more in depth than the thief verse, and both have to be true. It has to be from the perspective of the thief to make all true.

No but I will..........

They are unaware or have avoided other scriptures on this, like Lazarus. Anyway I guess if you believe what you believe it shouldn't have much bearing on things. Maybe your right and I'll get a revelation of this too lol

Its based upon a mistranlsation by the KJV on where he went!

peter in Acts said went to Sheol, the Grave, NOT hell!

Jesus said that he commited Himself into His fathers hands, would be in paradise THAT day, so no way went to hell!

So He rose from the grave that day, the day He died, to be in paradise with the thief the same day?

Then after that day, went back to the grave to be raised again 2 more days later?

Yes Amy I know pay attention and scroll up ok.. He was in the grave 3 days so how did he go to paradise on the first?
Because paradise is the other side of torment separated by a great gulf. Do you remember the story of Lazarus? Also have you read looked at that link yet?

jesus body went into the grave, his spirit/soul to paradise with the thief...

many say that this place was Abhrahams Bosum, where saved persons went before coming of yeshua!

When he rose, yeshua emptied out that 'holding cell" for OT belivers, and they went to heaven with him !

"jesus body went into the grave, his spirit/soul to paradise with the thief..."

Scripture?
Body put in the tomb.
Matthew 27:60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

Spirit in Paradise
Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Ephesians 4:9, says of Jesus: "Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH."

In Acts 2, Peter is speaking, verse 31, " . . . seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in HELL"

Matthew 12:40, Jesus Christ says:

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly: so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH. "

So His body was in the grave, His spirit was one with the Father, and His soul in Hell til He rose the 3rd day.

Acts 2:31
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
31 he looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that He was neither abandoned to Hades, nor did His flesh suffer decay.

The word flesh is translated from the word sarx, meaning....flesh.

Ephesians 4:9
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
9 (Now this expression, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?

Lower parts of the earth is an expression meaning Jesus descended from heaven to earth. (not to hell)

Word studies and dictionaries are marvelous things.

What about the soul?

How long was the spirit of Jesus commended into the hands of his Father? And just what does that even mean, to have his spirit in the hands of the Father?

And so shall we ever be with the Lord. The end of 1 Thes. 4:17
Again do I come, and will receive you unto myself, that where I am ye also may be; The end of John 14:3

Do these two passages speak of the same moment in time? If yes, when is this?

Will anyone be with the Lord before this time?
