A Erronous Misconception about Faith !



Faith is not a condition man meets in order for God to fulfill a promise to that person, that is a false witness as to what True Faith is, but True Faith is taking God at His Word of Promise

Close but no cigar! Justifying faith is RECEIVING and RESTING on God's promise without any ACTIVE participation in or contributing to what God has promised.

This is spelled out in Romans 4:16-21 where faith is "by grace" (v. 16) and all the action is by God (v. 17) and illustrated by God waiting until it was IMPOSSIBLE for either Abraham or Sarah to participate, contribute, do anything to acheive God's promise as their abilities were "DEAD" (v. 18).

Hence, justifying faith is NOT A WORK of man but actually the work of God (Jn. 6:29,44-45; 64-65) which simply RECEIVES and RESTS upon the promise of God trusting God to do whatever is necessary to acheive as well as procure His promise.

I do not necessarily disagree with your conclusions as they are stated. I believe God gives faith to receive his promises. BUT Isaac did not exist prior to God IMPLEMENTING that promise AT THE APPOINTED TIME. Neither does ones personal redemption/salvation exist prior to God IMPLEMENTING that promise and provision AT THE APPOINTED TIME and that is the work of the Holy Spirit NOT the Father nor the Son's work.

God's Command to Repent !



Acts 17:30

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

When this command, order, charge of God goes out to every man that it is intended for, if the every man does not repent as God Commanded, then God's powerful word of Command has been defeated of its purpose, God's Word of Command has been made of no effect. However this cannot be the case because God's Word of Command always effects what He commands according to purpose. Those whom God purposes to believe the Gospel 2 Cor 4:6

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

In other words, if a man or woman personally commanded by God to repent, the chances of them not repenting are the same as those in Gen 1:3

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

God said [commanded] let there be light, and the light refused to come into manifestation.

Speaking of Commanding His Purpose Ps 148:5

Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created.

How do you think one becomes a New Created Man ? Eph 4:24

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.



Ps 33:9

For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Ps 105:8

He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.


Ps 111:9

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

Ps 147:15

He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

Of the Command of Christ Mk 1:27

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

Notice the writer says with Authority Commandeth He and it produces obedience of the unclean spirits who we know had their own will Vs 24,25

Now the same word Authority is used of Christ when He sends His disciples out to teach all nations Matt 28:18-20

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

So when the Disciples Preached Repentance in His Name it was in view of Christ Power or Authority producing the effects of Repentance, and Acts 17:30 is an opportunity for demonstration Christ's Authority in Commanding all men every where to Repent, those whom it was intended for did repent according to the Purpose of God, His Word of Command produces the desired result ! I know that unbelievers will not except this Truth !

BUT Isaac did not exist prior to God IMPLEMENTING that promise AT THE APPOINTED TIME.

Thats not the point I am making here, the point is, that Faith embraces a promise of God, and God's fulfilling a promise He made is not contingent upon ones faith or belief. The Birth of Isaac was never in jeopardy of not happening on the account of Abraham's and Sarah"s unbelief.

Now, Yes Isaac did exist in God's Purpose. Isaac's existence to God did not have to wait on it being fulfilled in Time as to when he existed with Abraham and Sarah.

I have already explained to you that God seeth not as man seeth.

Also as far as God was concerned, by His Purpose, Levi was in the Loins of Abraham when Abraham payed tithes to Melchisedec Heb 7:9-10

9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

10 For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

God's Command to Repent !

You simply cannot distinguished between the REVEALED will of God and His SOVERIGN will.

The words "all men everywhere" is about as universal as words can make it. There is no effectual call or effectual repentance intended by Paul. Paul is speaking directly to those who later mocked him and the resurrection and they are included in that command to repent as they are the direct audiance he is addressing.

The REVEALED will of God is ALWAYS disobeyed by men everywhere. Every command revealed in Scripture is the revealed WILL of God. Repent and believe in the gospel is the REVEALED will of God toward all men everywhere (Mt. 28:19; Mk. 16:15) but all men everywhere will not repent or believe and that does not thwart God's purpose one little bit. It is his secret sovereign will that cannot be thwarted.

The words "all men everywhere" is about as universal as words can make it.

Of Course its universal since now the Apostles Mission is to Preach Repentance and Remission of sins to all Nations Lk 24:47, and not Just to Israel.

This is the fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant coming to pass, Gen 12:3

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

So Gentiles also were blessed with Repentance Acts 11:18

18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Thats the Repentance Paul is commanding in Acts 17:30 !

You do not understand the Purpose of God, and have no business preaching, you preach a false Gospel !

You are to be pittied. Do you think the ten commandments written on stone and on the conscience of all men (Rom. 1:19-20) are commandments by God for all men everywhere? If not then why did God write them on the heart of every man (Rom. 2:14-15) and why are all men "without excuse"?

Just because God commands all men everywhere to do something does not mean that will be accomplished according to God's sovereign will. You just admitted that Matthew 28:19 and Mark 16:15 commands the gospel to be preached to "every creature" and to "all nations." What do they preach? "Repent and beleive the Gospel" and "Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish." Is this God's command for them to repent? Yes it is! HOwever, it is not his sovereign command or else "every creature" and "all nations" would repent and beleive the gosepl.

You are incapable of discerning the simplest and most obvious things in God's word because you are blinded by your excessive and fanatical extremist views of Calvinism.

It is you that do not understand the "purpose of God" - "I have purposed it, I WILL DO IT" - You don't understand the simplistic truth that purpose does not equal fulfillment as that would make the term "purpose" oxymoronic! However, that is exactly the doctrine you teach - purpose equals fulfillment.

There is no effectual call or effectual repentance intended by Paul.

Thats a Lie, and I will explain why ! In Acts 17:30, even though the Blessing of Remission of sins is not mentioned in this command to repent, Nevertheless we know that it is adjoined with Repentance in the Divine Purpose of Preaching, we know this from other scripture Lk 24:47

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

So the Command to repent is in light of ones remission of sins due to the Work of Christ on their behalf, the shedding of His Blood Matt 26:28

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. and the non imputation of their sins unto them 2 Cor 5:19

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

It is this world only that the Gospel call goes out to them in Vs 20

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Thats the same as Repentance ," be ye reconciled to God" but it is only directed to those of Vs 19 who did not have their sins imputed to them, which is the same as remission of sins, of which is always connected with Repentance !

So that's who the Gospel Command of Repentance goes out to, those whose sins have been forgiven, which is remission of Sins, and the same has been GIVEN REPENTANCE !

1. God elects all who volunteer to believe and "Invite Jesus . . . ."

3. God elects all who are not specified as reprobate in scripture.

Not Justified by works of the law !



Gal 2:16

The works of the Law is not limited to the moral or ceremonial law of moses, but does also includes any and all human effort and obedience, anything that we do that results us in being approved of God, that results in God Justifying us; Yes, once we factor in any obedience on our part as being in the deciding factor as to our Justification before God, we default to Justification by the Law or by works, its just that simple !

Scripturally there is only One act of Obedience that makes them that Christ died for Righteous Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The same Truth here was Taught in the OT here Isa 53:11

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

ESV Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.

So again, once we factor in our personal obedience, it becomes Justification by Two and Justification by Law or Works !

Human reasoning that defies the very words of the verse you quote which says "even we have believed in Jesus Christ THAT WE MIGHT BE justified BY THE FAITH" and "the faith" refers to what he just described as "believed in Jesus Christ." Since faith is NOT WORKS but the gift of God's grace, which is not of man but the regenerative work of the Spirit of God you human reasonings are vain and false.

It is something that is RECEIVED and it is received by regenerative faith as Romans 5:12-19 is simply a further explanation of Romans 5:11 which says:

The same Truth here was Taught in the OT here Isa 53:11

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

ESV Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities.

However, the inspired intepreters in the New Testament say that also must be RECEIVED by faith:

Rom. 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Paul is quoting Isaiah 53:1 which you conveniently ignore but Paul emphasizes in the context of God's good pleasure to save his elect through faith in the gospel (Rom. 10:10-17).

A Man is Justified by Faith or Revelation apart from the works of the law, which simply means, those whom Christ died for, they whom had their sins laid to His Charge and He Justified them Isa 53:11

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.[Because they were imputed to Him]

Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

This verse is saying the same thing Isa 53:11 is saying !

And so those whom Christ died for, and Justified, these will all have their free Justification revealed to them or made known to them, and so they find out that they are Justified before God apart from them personally meeting any conditions or any performances of their own, any obedience of theirs.

That is what it means to be Justified by Faith apart the works of the Law Rom 3:28

Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

Thats what Eph 2:8 and Gal 2:16 means ! Even if we argue that we are Justified by Faith in Christ, it makes no difference, because we put Faith in Christ only after having Christ revealed in us Gal 1:16

To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Its only after having Him revealed IN US that we have Faith in Him, and having Christ revealed in us is a Gospel Revelation Rom 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The word revealed is the same word here in Rom 1:17 as in Gal 1:16, whereas in the Gospel He is revealed as to be our Righteousness before God, then we are Justified by Faith, when we rest in what has been made known as to be True already in the Judgment of God !

Yes, it is received, but receiving the knowledge of ones Justification before God is not what satisfied God's Law and Justice in the First place, in order for the fact of Justification can be revealed and received later !

God gives His People the Knowledge of Salvation by the remission of their sins ! Lk 1:77

To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

Their remission of sins came solely because of the Blood of Christ satisfying law and Justice on their behalf, that occured for them before they knew about it, before they receive the good news of it !

So what you are guilty of is depriving Christ's Blood as the sole cause of ones Justification before God, that is Blasphemy and against Christ !

Thats True, however revealing Justification to someone is not the same as Being Justified by the Blood of Christ ! The Gospel makes known to the Elect their Justified status before God it does not cause them to be Justified before God, you are guilty of depriving the Blood of Christ of it's Meritoious Effect before the Law and Justice of God !

So what you are guilty of is depriving Christ's Blood as the sole cause of ones Justification before God, that is Blasphemy and against Christ !

No one is denying the blood of Christ is the sole legal ground/basis/cause of justification before God. However, there is a difference between legal cause and instrumental cause. The Holy Spirit's work is the instrumental cause for justification before God.

Just as no one is denying that the blood shed at the brazen altar is the legal basis for atonement but it must be instrumentally applied to the rest of the tabernacle.

You are ignoring the context because Romans 5:12-19 is merely a further expansion of Romans 5:11 and the words we have "NOW received the atonement" and then Paul proceeds to explain the substitutionary nature of that atonement.
