Death is no more than passing from one room into another. But there's a difference for me, you know. Because in that other room I shall be able to see.

    Helen Keller.

But what is important is which room you pass into.

I bet she can see all too clearly now, too.

So let's tell our unsaved friends, hell's just a "room".

Fletcher Brothers, Director of Freedom Village has stated on the Radio (if I remember correctly) that he has met Mrs Thatcher and that he believes she was born again

I thought this was about Helen Keller...someone who found the bible "reprehensible".

I'm thinking if Marge was saved, she's gettin' a mansion. Not some crummy little room. And that's reason to rejoice.

I'm also thinking, if we go by Helen Keller's own words, (readily available), she's probably in her "room" wishing she was still deaf and blind.

    Source please.

You do find a way of condemning just about everyone.

By the way, I have searched and I cannot find any quote from M. Thatcher on the Bible, Christ or God.

    I did find this quote:

But how shall I speak of the glories I have since discovered in the Bible? For years I have read it with an ever-broadening sense of joy and inspiration; and I love it as I love no other book. Still there is much in the Bible against which every instinct of my being rebels, so much that I regret the necessity which has compelled me to read it through from beginning to end. I do not think that the knowledge which I have gained of its history and sources compensates me for the unpleasant details it has forced upon my attention. For my part, I wish, with Mr. Howells, that the literature of the past might be purged of all that is ugly and barbarous in it, although I should object as much as any one to having these great works weakened or falsified.

The word reprehensible is not to be found in the quote you furnished.

And you failed to include the positive sentence in the quote, which reads:

So what ? She obviously hated it. Maybe you don't understand her own words.

Is death merely "passing from one room to the other", or is a result of the wages of sin, with eternal consequence most dire ? You started this thread, why won't you talk about it ?

Is it OK with you that people are going to Hell, as long as you make them feel good about themselves along the way ? Is that "love" ?

Shame on you for your either purposeful, or ignorant deception of what happens when we die.

Hebrews 9:27 AMEN !!! That's the message we should be concentrating on. Not some fluffy steer manure post about death being just another "room".

You really cannot read and understand can you. Have you ever heard of literary metaphors?

First of all, please learn to use the quote function properly. It looks like you're claming my words as your's.

I read and understand plenty well. Helen keller was disgusted with the bible, and only respected it as a historical document.

Literary metaphors ? That's what denying scripture is called now ?

I am deeply saddened by your casual dismissal of the wages of sin. You scare me, in a biblical sense. You seem to have zero concern for the unsaved.

I would never use your words as mine.

People do not love historical documents. Your opinion only on that one.

Jesus used metaphors. Do you know what a metaphor is? Your reply indicates you do not.

Do you know what a simile is?
Do you know what an illusion is?

I am deeply saddened by your casual negative judgement of just about everyone.

Do you really believe that she literally mean death was passing from one room to another?

1-Good. Learn to us the quote function.

2-The Bible is so much more than a historical document. Even you would agree.

3-Jesus never lied to anyone. Shame on you.

4-Similie ? Illusion ? What do they have to do with anything ?

4-Straw man. I'm not judging her. I'm telling you her fluffy quotes do damage to a Christian testimony.

5-Yes, I do. And if she didn't, why would you put it up here ? Part of the "There's no God who will punish you" mentality. Extremely dangerous.

Well, isn't this an interesting reply? A man who claims to be a minister of the gospel of Christ using recognized hate language against a fellow Christian.

Surely this is some type of violation of board rules, or it certainly should be a violation.

So did Jesus use hate language when he called the people "brood of vipers," or the gentile woman whose daughter he eventually healed a "dog," or Herod a "fox" [and a female fox, at that, as I get it]?
