God does not discriminate, full stop. He judges all sin, not just this one.

Because God judges pride, backbiting, arrogance, lusts, lying, etc does that give us a right to discriminate against those sins?

I don't agree with TND very often, but he is dead on on this topic.

I'd learn how to make the leaves.

    Hypothetical question.....

Should churches be forced to perform gay weddings ? Simple yes or no.

again, we are NOT doing that gainst Gays, its just that we want to have upheld our rights to chose to NOT partake and be forced to cater/photograph say Gay wedding, as we would view that as sin!

And law was NOT addressing gays directly, just allowing us to use same reasoning to deny becoming forced to go to Klan ralley, or muslim crusade!

Are you OK then with Govt telling us to give free abortion causing medicine, as part of affordable health care now, even though against religious views?

I think that all churches should perform happy weddings - but they should NOT be required to perform a h0mosexual wedding.

I think that Jews and Muslims should have to cook a ham sandwich in their restaurants for those who like ham sandwiches. That way they can testify to us about how their religion is for people who like ham sandwiches.

I don't know that, and neither do you! That's an absurd, and entirely untruthful statement. No state in the union has this law on the book! Arizona and Kansas don't need this law in place to allow Christians to refuse service to anyone they don't want to serve.
I don't know if your realize it or not, and I say this with love -- you are entirely wrong, you don't know what you're talking about. Forgive that bluntness, but it is the truth. Arizona is not going to suddenly start arresting Christians for refusing service to gays or anyone else. That's nothing more than unwitting hysteria.

ROFL... Come to a scripture fight with a secular movie quote... I would imagine this is a fine example of the state of your soul.

I would have no problem with doing business with a h0m0s3xu@l. I would photograph their wedding. I would make a pothead cake. As a capitalist, I would welcome their money.

What I bristle at, is being told I HAVE to do business with anyone.

Sweet Mary Francis... if you cater a gay wedding you have to become gay? *faint* Oh wait... if you cater a gay wedding your have to perform the ceremony and marry them? *faint* Oh wait... serving food to hungry people isn't an abomination, it's serving food. It's feeding people. <--- in many more ways than putting food in the bellies...

Um, no and no, they haven't. I find you guys cry racism when the argument starts making too much sense. Try a rational discussion, as I haven't said a thing to you to warrant this.

In the Bible I use, marriage is defined as one man with his one wife. So if the church is abiding by God's word, it can't perform something that does not exist.

    So no.

Yup. The most basic principle of biblical marriage. Good answer.

That's what bothers most folks. You can't make me make a cake if I don't want to make a cake. Or in the case of Ann's link, you're not making me photograph squat if I don't want to. And if you try to force me to, I'm showing up and photographing a bunch of feet.:tongue3:

Who cried racism? Talk about being rational....

Anti-discrimination laws dictate that you cannot refuse to do business with people for certain reasons. Race, handicap, etc. Many different reasons. These are federal laws. Hence, the gubment already tells you that you cannot refuse to do business with certain folks. ie: they can force you to do business with someone. If you are sued because you refuse to serve a guy in a wheelchair, you are forced to do business, or get fined out of business.

Happy for the first no, the second is false. The drama... stupid!
