Yet another utterly false assertion, devoid of any actual scriptural support. Every born anew believer was, before conversion, by nature a child of wrath, and therefore unforgiven.

I agree. The problem is that some narrow down individual redemption in it's entirety to the atoning work of Christ's death and walk away with a one dimensional view of salvation ("salvation" apart from the Father and Holy Spirit). If their view is correct, then those of us who are saved were never in need of salvation.

Not true, as ALL are sinners in the hands of an Angry God, due to their rebellion and sin against God, bu thte truth is also that Death of Jesus was an act that really saved some, as God did not have jesus suffer and die in the "hope' that some sinners would make "right choiuce" to accept Jesus and get saved!

Do you deny that God intended jesus to actually die and secure salvation for some, and not just die so that all and any "might" get saved?

Yet Scripture portrays us as sinners in the hands of a loving and merciful God....so much so that while we were yet sinners He would die for us. Are you comfortable acknowledging that truth?

When Jesus died on the cross, exactly who did that death - in and of itself (apart from the work of the Father and the Spirit... apart from faith) - save?

Jesus died in the place/stead of all whom would get saved by God....

Individual Election, so personal death meant and intended for all those whom the father chose to save in Christ...

Yes, God is Love and also Holy, so those not found in Christ have that wrath of God abiding on them, while those of us now in Christ had that wrath abide on Christ...
