    ....by Calvinist.

Brother Icon, a Calvinist, may have a good point. This thread could shed light on what arguments are legitimately scripture based and what arguments are not.

All Calvinist please present your arguments against Calvinism as you have found them within the bible, based on scripture only please. Thank You!

The problem will be that there are really no passages that spport a non calvinist view on salvation, but there are some that others have falsely claimed did show just that!

Well, brother Icon is a staunch Calvinist and he claims Calvinist have better arguments against Calvinism than a non Cal does. He could be right, but there are no arguments given yet, but then again it's only been a couple of days. I'm sure folks are putting something together as we speak.....

An extra Biblical source of support for the Arminian side would be from Secretary of State John Kerry who declared, "I was saved before I wasn't."

Are you against Calvinism or against the term he coined T.U.L.I.P?

Ephesians 2:4 But God who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5: Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace are ye saved)

    But my personal favorite is

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

29: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the first born of many brethren.

30: Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Find fault with Calvin and the brethren fine they are only human... But the term he coined is Bible. Its all Jesus the Christ and nothing else!

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they that testify of me.

    Brother Glen

You always say Calvinist. Why don't you use the plural form? It is so unnatural and ungrammatical. Try adding an "s" when appropriate.

Both. So do you have a biblical argument against Calvinism?

Since YOU personally are against Calvinism and TULIP, and have had 203 views and only 5 answers my guess is they don't exist. Better yet ask Iconoclast who knows where they are... Brother Glen:smilewinkgrin:

Yeah brother Icon said they existed, but I'm having my doubts. I don't think there are any arguments by Calvinist better than the ones I have put forth. I believe he was just feeling defeated.

Give us a point or something you specifically disagree with in the TULIP and we will answer with scripture, if the scripture is not the final authority then you are just another one of a billion of baseless opinions.

There is no point in hiding each other's problem texts. I am not allowed to pick and choose any more than I allow it to others.

So what are some of Calvinism's problem texts? Icon said Calvinist can make better arguments against Calvinism than non Cals can.

The OP point comes directly from a Calvinist's declaration. I am looking for confirmation from Calvinist that brother Icon is correct.

You haven't learned. You need to add an s -- as in "I am looking for confirmation from Calvinists. Got it?

Mr. Steaver, you are not a Calvinist. As a matter of fact you are an ardent anti-Calvinist. You have expended great amounts of energy in lambasting Calvinists and their doctrines for years on the BB.

It is up to you to repeat your worn-out polemics against Calvinists. We don't find your beliefs line up with Scripture. But go for it once more. We will watch you in action and see if you rightly handle the Word of Truth --or not.
