For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Jesus warns of miracle workers posing as faithful, pious Christians.

Not only will they pose as faithful, pious Christians, they will be exalted as ‘Christs.’

In other words, they will claim the offices of ‘Christ’: prophet of God, High Priest offering propitiatory sacrifices to God, in addition to being the King of the Kingdom of God.

As willingly and blindly deceived onlookers, all the world will wonder after these ‘beasts.’

But not the Elect, Christ promises.

The Apostle Paul proclaims similar warnings:

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.

Paul’s predicted Man of Sin and Jesus’ predicted false Christs are one and the same: Antichrist.

For a minimum of 10 centuries Christians have understood and taught the Man of Sin, the Antichrist, is the Papal officeholder who claims to ‘come in the name of Christ’ as the ‘Vicar of Christ.’

‘Vicar’ is synonymous with the Greek prefix ‘anti’ in that they both denote ‘substitution,’ one who comes ‘in the place of.‘ http://biblehub.com/greek/473.htm

But most importantly, the Greek prefix ‘anti’ also denotes ‘opposition to.’

Antichrist claims to be ‘for’ Christ when, in fact, he is ‘against’ Christ.

Antichrist is the human archenemy of Christ.

He is the spiritual son of Satan, the son of Perdition.

Christians understood that Antichrist was a dynasty of men who occupied the same Papal office ‘one man/one Antichrist’ at a time.

When the current Antichrist died, another would take his place.

This is the case with the Papacy.

To date there have been 266 Antichrists, depending on who is doing the counting.

Today’s current Antichrist is much kinder and gentler than the Antichrists of previous generations.

Pope Francis loves everybody with welcoming, open arms.

    But don’t be fooled.

Under that smiling, soft and friendly countenance is an idolatrous, Christ-hater, hell bent on destroying as many souls as Satan commands.

To further enhance his ability to deceive, Pope Francis has just been declared a worker of miracles.

By kissing a relic allegedly containing the 1,700-year-old blood of the Patron Saint of Naples, the blood became immediately liquefied.
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/03/22/pope-francis-miracle_n_6920624.html

Once again, the Man of Sin, the False Christ, Antichrist, is given the satanic power to perform signs and lying wonders which the world views with admiration and amazement.

But the Elect are not deceived.

Lamentably, today’s average professing Christian has not a clue as to the utter impossibility of another Antichrist arising who is not in any way, shape or form related to the Papal office.

Fictitious, absurd and preposterous theories are none ending when it comes to 'predicting' the ever soon coming future Antichrist.

To these naïve brethren the mystery of iniquity is still that: a mystery.

Thank you for taking the time to share your personal opinion with no proof whatsoever but your myopic, pro-Roman Catholic bias and Jesuit-originated viewpoint.

I'm sure many on this Board will be edified by it.

    [personal attack is unwarranted]

I prefer to believe the fulfillment of prophecy as seen in actual history, as well as the damning testimony of the Roman Catholic Church.

I stand with the countless Christian witnesses and martyrs who, for more than 1,000 years have testified to the Roman Catholic Church and her Papacy as the prophetic fulfillment of Mystery Babylon and Antichrist.

It was the efficacious grace of God that opened their eyes and ears to the truth giving them the words to speak when brought before their Roman Catholic accusers. (Matt. 10:19-20)

I would that the same grace of God opened yours.

The Catholics are coming for you, Protestant America! Your days are counted; they are fast running out. Anti-Christ is pouncing upon you from without and from within, ALREADY!

The Catholic church is the sole power on earth making you read the Scriptures according to its own rendering. There no longer is a Protestant Bible. The fight is over!

Have you been thinking, How it is possible Islamites kill Islamites like termites?

You have seen nothing yet! Wait for the day hastening towards you when the Catholics will exterminate the Protestants still left like mites!

A number of Protestant reformers referred to the Papacy as "man of sin" and as "antichrist".

But to be fair to history and to Martin Luther - the Popes were calling each other "Antichrist" before Martin Luther did it.

    in Christ,

    Bob

Protestant wrote that the early Albigensians were Christians. It is an unfathomably ludicrous claim to say that the Albigensians were Christians.

The Albigensians were neo-manichaeans, they were not even Christian. They were a branch of the ridiculous Cathari movement who are also claimed to be "reformed christians".

We actually know a great deal about the belief and practice of the Cathari/Albigensians. Here are some of their more unusual beliefs:
    - Denial of the resurrection of the body
    - Gnostic dualism (matter is evil, two "gods": good god and evil god, etc.)
    - Denial of eternal damnation
    - Endorsed suicide (especially commendable if done by starvation & ritual suicide)
    - Forbade marriage, considered fornication superior.
    - "Converts" were encouraged to abandon their spouse.
    - Child bearing was considered evil.
    - Eating meat was considered immoral.
    - Belief in reincarnation.
    - Christ was merely an angelic being with a phantom body
    - Christ did not suffer and die for our sins, or rise from the dead
    - Total denial of the redemption, Christ merely came to teach.
    - Satan, the evil "god", created the physical world
    - Naturally they rejected things such as the Trinity and the Virgin Birth.

    Some held the following:
    - The Old Testament patriarchs were all damned.
    - John the Baptist was a minister of satan sent to thwart Christ's work.

Some even went so far as the reject the Old Testament entirely. This is why the old rule of the Franciscan order states that brothers who refuse the pray the psalms could be expelled from the order. A refusal to pray the psalms would indicate an Albigensian view that the Old Testament is evil. If you don't believe me I would suggest going to a library and getting some books on Christian history by secular historians and respected protestant historians and look up the Albigensians.

Had you been active on this board a year ago, you would have been exposed to the truth as to how the RCC falsely charged true Christians with Manichaeism in order to find them allegedly guilty of heresy and thus murder them.

I suggest you and your pro-Mystery Babylon brethren refresh your darkened minds as to the simple truths explained in the Revelation:

The ones who murdered are the murderers, false Christians, the sons of Satan who was a murderer from the beginning.

The ones who were murdered were the innocent victims, true Christians, who went like sheep to the Inquisitional Crusade slaughters:

Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Notice the Holy Spirit does not say 'Blessed are the murderers......'

Rather the Holy Spirit advises strongly that all members of the RCC flee to true Christianity:

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Question: Do you have a witness against the Albigensians other than from the criminals that slaughtered them as part of their own crimes against humanity?

    in Christ,

The idea that the criminals that murder an entire group of people would then find "excuse" and "Character assassination" as the best method of coverup is not at all surprising. What would be interesting is some independents observation - of non-RC origin. Someone without a conflict of interest.

Hint: see the supposedly "Infallible" - "Doctrine of Discovery" upheld by the RCC to this very day - along with the "extermination edict" in LATERAN IV.

As for the infallible "Doctrine of Discovery"

    in Christ,

    Bob

The Doctrine of Discovery was not at all a "Doctrine" as we understand.

Sublimus Dei, which is in favor of native rights. Another, earlier document in favor of native rights is Sicut Dudum from 1435.

In it, Pope Eugene IV said, “All and each of the faithful of each sex, within the space of fifteen days of the publication of these letters in the place where they live, [must] restore to their earlier liberty all and each person of either sex who were once residents of the Canary Islands...who have been made subject to slavery. These people are to be totally and perpetually free and are to be let go without the exaction or reception of any money. If this is not done [within] the fifteen days...they incur the sentence of excommunication by the act itself.” (Sicut Dudum)
The papal documents it mentions do not make it okay for Christians to take over lands that are owned by other people. It is only talking about undiscovered lands. If the Indians were already there, then obviously their lands had already been discovered...by the Indians, centuries or millenia before. Therefore, the doctrine of discovery wouldn't apply to lands owned by the Indians.

The only problem is that the article, like many of their articles, skews the truth to support their strong bias against the Church. It's sad that they do this, as it goes against the objectivity journalism deserves, but it reflects what many people in general think about the Church and were often taught in school. In truth, throughout history the Church advocated for human rights and dignity when few if any others did. For example, very soon after Constantine, one of the first requests of the Church was for Rome to disband the barbaric gladiatorial games. Also, their stance against slavery and in favor of natives' rights came 400 years before the Gettysburg Address. In truth, America thought of slaves and natives as little above animals, and justified their enslavement or genocide with concepts such as doctrine of discovery and manifest destiny. Sadly, many Catholics did this too, but due to the influence of the Church it was to a much lesser degree, hence why in Catholic lands in the New World there was virtually no slavery and most natives blended with the settlers.

Hope that clears up your confusion.
