Do you see a problem with a teacher making claims about someone else's beliefs?
If a teacher said that George W. Bush was not a Christian would you agree with that as well?
If a teacher said that George W. Bush was not a Christian would you agree with that as well?
Just don't see how his faith or lack thereof could be salient to anything she was teaching.

I would be outraged if a teacher was making such generalized assumptions to my children while at school. Jesus Christ is not a pawn to be used in partisan politics and it makes me sick to see her try to do that with impressionable minds.
She told the truth that the President isn't a christian, we've heard it from his own mouth. The President stated in a speech, "My Momma was an atheist all of here life, but I believe she is in heaven today because she was a good person."
US President Barack Obama defended his adherence to the Christian faith on Tuesday in a speech in New Delhi, India.
During an address given while on a visit to India with the First Lady, Michelle, Obama preached religious tolerance, reminding the Indian people that no one deserves to be prosecuted for their religion.
He also told the crowd that he is a Christian, but even if he wasn't, it would also be okay.
"In our lives, Michelle and I have been strengthened by our Christian faith. But there have been times where my faith has been questioned -- by people who don’t know me -- or they’ve said that I adhere to a different religion, as if that were somehow a bad thing,'' he said.
The president was referring to rumors that he is Muslim, not Christian.
His soteriology is off and since He doesn't know how someone gets to heaven how can he be saved?
She made the mistake of saying people who voted for him weren't christian. Many christians don't vote on christian issue they vote for the party and whoever the party runs. they don't care about the issues just the party. Others over look the candidates violation of Biblical issues and vote for what they believe he will do for the nation.
What we miss is God places people in authority based on the state of the nation. Our nation is in a state of apotasy and god is dealling with us through our leaders at this time.
What he has said repeatedly is that he is a Christian.
He has said he is a Christian repeatedly so there's no need to keep saying that he has said he is NOT a Christian.
A correct soteriology after one is saved is not a requirement FOR salvation.
Apostasy is a Body of Christ issue. It's not a NATION issue, per se. But I believe you are correct about God placing people in authority. But I believe that Biblical history shows Him doing so based upon what HIS PEOPLE are/are not doing.
We really don't know if she made the comments. But you are right in that too often people use Jesus as a pawn for partisan politics....and too often those people are churches.
What he has said repeatedly is that he is a Christian.
He has said he is a Christian repeatedly so there's no need to keep saying that he has said he is NOT a Christian.

So you believe that because the President does good he is saved as that is what he believes it takes to get to heaven?
Tell nation Israel that has be dispersed twice that " It's not a NATION issue."
He could say he's a goat but it doesn't make him a goat. His beliefs do not align with orthodox Christianity. He may be a christian but he is not a Christian nor a Christ follower.
If you believe the wrong things and have put your faith in the wrong things, then what salvation is there?
The racist and racially prejudiced beliefs of a lot of people on this board don't line up with orthodox Christianity either.
But like I said, I personally believe he's a Muslim.
But also, my statement was to the fact that contrary to what Poster #9 said, President Obama has not said that he isn't a Christian, so it's unfair and just a lie to say that he has said that.
How do we know what he has put his faith in? revmwc spoke to soteriology. And I say again, one does not have to have a proper understanding of of soteriology post salvation to be saved.[/quote[
He has spoken of his faith in the past and it does not line up with Scripture.
So you are saying that it's OK to have wrong beliefs on how we are saved? He believes his mother is in heaven because she was a good person. If that is so, his "faith" falls apart.
A LOT of folks develop a wrong soteriology after salvation because they get hooked up with bad teaching. And after listening to Jeremiah Wright for 20+ years, I can really see someone's soteriology getting screwed up.
But was he ever really saved? What does he put his faith in?
“Obama is in the process of trying to recreate the Christian faith in his own, very liberal and unorthodox image. Built on a foundation of radical Black Liberation Theology, theological liberalism and post-modernism, Obama is undermining historic, biblical Christianity while claiming [he] is a Christian. In the process, he is defaming the Christian faith. … By any historic or biblical standard, Barack Obama is not a Christian.
Now you know that you didn't read anywhere that I said that. I agree with the teacher and her husband. I believe that he is either a Muslim or that he certainly "esteems" the things of Islam much more than he does the way of Christ. At least that's what I saw during his first election cycle and his first term.
I wouldn't have voted for him if he was the last candidate on earth, in part, because I believed him to be a Muslim and to not show anything of love for that which Christ loves.
Now I can't really see what the problem with him being a Muslim would be to evangelicals who voted for and supported a Mormon for President.
Israel was representative of GOD's People pre-Christ. The United States IS NOT representative of God's people as God's people are scattered all over the world now.
So again, apostasy has nothing to do with a nation, but rather with GOD's PEOPLE. Everybody in the United States isn't part of God's family.
So you are saying that it's OK to have wrong beliefs on how we are saved?
