    OR.
The Bible clearly says that Satan "is the god of this world." Can you deny that?
He is the prince of the power of the air.
The whole world lies in wickedness.

Look around and see the continual conflict with ISIS, Christians being martyred for their faith, persecution by Islam and others. Is Jesus ruling on this earth? The obvious answer is: NO!

    Note: This is a prayer:
Eph 3:13 Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.
    It is all Paul's desire.

Now the portion that you are most concerned about:
Eph 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
--a prayer that they may know the love of God.

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
    --A description of that love.

Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
--a doxology to his prayer. He ascribes glory in this assembly by Christ who is throughout all ages in this world without end.
What is so difficult about that and how does it contradict anything I have posted?

Or were you concerned about chapter one:
    It also is a prayer:
    Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

    Again from verse 19:
Eph 1:19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
--Paul ascribes the great power to a great God.

Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
--That power came through Christ and was demonstrated through Christ.

Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
--It was demonstrated through his resurrection and ascension. As Christ told his apostles in Acts 28:18 "All power is given unto him."

Eph 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
--Christ is the head over all things in every assembly.

Eph 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
--Every assembly is a body, His body, His fullness. The Ephesians needed to be united to demonstrate His fulness, the fulness of Christ.

Eph 1:22 and has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the assembly,
Eph 1:23 which is his body, the fulness of him who fills all in all: (Darby's translation)

There is nothing here which contradicts anything I have said.

Power is given to him. That doesn't mean he exercises that power presently on earth.
In the time of Job God was still omnipotent. But he chose not to exercise his power on earth, but rather allowed Satan to have his way instead.
Satan still has dominion over this earth.

Yes and your interlinear proves what we are saying about their being a difference uses of the word world. You yourself say that eon is age, and no one is disputing that but you are arguing that it means he has control over the Earth which would be the Greek word #1093, ge not eon.
Only once is ge ever translated as world in the Bible and that is in Rev 13:3 and only then if you are using the KJV, all the other translations I checked used the world Earth.

Only a rabid pre-trib-Rapture-Ready-"snatching away" of the Church dispensationalist could get dispensationalism out of that passage.

To me world and earth are synonymous terms.

The word ge is Land or Earth. So that all the Land, Earth marveled at the Beast. According to the interlinear. The word according to thayer ge is arable land, the ground, the earth standing in place, the main land as opposed to sea and water, the earth as a whole. the earth as opposed to the heavens, the inhabited earth, the abode of men and animals, a country, land enclosed withing fixed boundry, a tract of land, teritory, region.
So why do we say it says all the greek holos meanaing whole is used for all, so the whole earth wondered that is the whole entire inhabited earth, which would make it the inhabiters of the earth.

Now satan is the Prince and power of the air, Greek aer which is the atmospheric region, the word for Power is exousia thayers #3 states this abour that word, the power of authority (influence) and of right (privilege). Prince the Greek archon= a ruler, commander, chief leader.

Therefore Paul says in Ephesians 2:2 that satan is the chief leader to authority over the atmospheric region.

That region according to science is made up of three regions, the Troposphere, Strastosphere and Mesosphere. So Satan is according to Paul in Ephesians the chief leader, the power and authority of the atmospheric, that is Trophospher, Stratasphere and Mesosphere.

    What would you call that?

Here is a specific word used in regards to that which Satan claims to have possession of:

    Luke 4:5

    King James Version (KJV)

5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

It is the same place we see here:

    Hebrews 1:6

    King James Version (KJV)

6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

    God bless.

And that is why we will never agree. They are not synonymous especially in the Bible and since you don't understand it will be impossible for us to ever be on the same page.

Call it what makes you happy. GOD through the Apostle Paul also taught in Ephesians the following:

    Ephesians 1:15-23
    15. Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
    16. Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
    17. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
    18. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
    19. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
    20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
    21. Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
    22. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

    23. Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

And again through the Apostle Peter:

    1 Peter 3:21, 22
    21. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
    22. Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

And again through the Apostle Paul:

    Philippians 2:1-11
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
    6. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
    7. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
    8. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
    9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
    10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
    11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

So you can deny that Jesus Christ is reigning now but you are being deceived by the "father of lies". Jesus Christ "whupped your dog" so to speak, when HE was here the first time, binding him and throwing him into a pit. He will finish the job when HE returns.

I believe the following parallels Rev 20 and I will attempt to explain.

Who according to the bible rules with Christ? I assume, the church. Now.

Are these the makeup of the church?

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. Acts 15:14; Along with these? And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; Acts 15:8

Did the writings of say That God would do that and is that, God visiting the Gentiles, and is that presently still taking place today. V15

Now in verse 16 where it states I will return. Is that speaking of the return of Christ with the kingdom he has received from God, compare to Luke 19:11-19
Is that the kingdom of God the disciples spoke of in Acts 1 being returned to Israel, the tabernacle of David with Christ and the church from v14 and 8 ruling with him the 1000 years of Rev 20. Christ and the first resurrection, the ruling class? See Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. The Lord and the remnant being the ruling class.

Will the rest of the world be effected? V17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Will any of these, "residue of men," be saved? Will they die natural deaths? Will they ever be resurrected unto eternal life?

Except of course where it God so loved the World and we know that is all human beings. Or the place where HE is the propitiation of the whole world we know that to all mankind. But when it refers to this old Globe we live, it is the earth or the world and of course when there is any doubt I will go to the interlinear to find the original and then can determine how it is used.

The original Greek doesn't bear what you say out Again you failed to answer the question posed to you:

Satan is not my pup, he is my enemy and the enemy of every born again believer. He is still very active in influence in this world today. If you don't believe then the father of lies has you blinded to his wiles. Peter even said 1 Peter 5:8-9, 8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."

He calls satan the adversary of believers. You can say he is bound but scripture upon scripture says he is out there battling with those of us who are believers, seeking to devour us. Paul says satan is the prince and power of the air. I choose to be sober, vigilant in order not to be deceived by him.

He is the enemy of every believer and he is allowed by God the power and authority to devour believes, to sift them as Peter was sifted. Those who want to turn a blind eye and not be sober and vigilant will be devoured by him. Not me, I am heeding that warning and I know he is ever looming out there to deceive us as believers and to devour us.

You can choose not to believe Paul and Peter and the parts of the bible that say he is actively seeking to devour us I choose to heed the warnings. The believers beheaded by ISIS can tell you satan is active.

So you admit when it suits you that "world" has multiple meanings but then you have to twist other words to make age mean earth.
Let's also ignore that the word is kosmos in the Greek, in John 3:17, as opposed to Eon and Ge.
Nice thing about Greek is that it is very specific.
So yes go ahead and twist words to suit that WoF teaching of Satan being the legal ruler of Earth, and denying the Finished work of Christ on the Cross.

Simon Peter had told the "apostles and elders" {Acts 15:6} how GOD had used him to preach to the Gentiles, Cornelius being one of them. James, the brother of Jesus Christ, then made the following observation, Acts 15:14, 15

    Notice Acts 15:14, 15
    14. Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.
    15. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

James says in effect that Simeon had told about the salvation of Gentiles. Then James states: And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

That is the prophets of the Old Testament had prophesied that Salvation would come to the Gentiles. James then tells of the prophecy:

    Acts 15:16-18
    16. After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
    17. That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
    18. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

In verse 15 James says that the prophecy of verses 16-17 has been fulfilled with Peters account of the Salvation of Gentiles. The prophecy in verses 16, 17 come from:
    Amos 9:11, 12
    11. In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
    12. That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

And then in verse 18 we are told that GOD knows all HIS works.

You have read the Scripture. You can choose to believe it or not. As I said you are being deceived by the "father of lies", Satan, when you deny the Sovereignty of God when HE says the following:

    And I say once again:

So you can deny that Jesus Christ is reigning now but you are being deceived by the "father of lies". Jesus Christ "whupped your dog" so to speak, when HE was here the first time, binding him and throwing him into a pit. He will finish the job when HE returns.

It is a mystery why many, if not most, pre-trib-dispensationalists want to deny that Jesus Christ is reigning from Heaven at this time as the above Scripture clearly shows. If there are any on this forum who believe that they should speak up now or be tarred with the same brush you are.

When the text bears it out and it could not mean the earth/world, the globe However EON doesn't mean world or earth it means and extended period of time.

We all believe the same scriptures.
    It is a prayer.
He prays that the Ephesians might understand the greatness of God and power of Christ.
This power comes through the resurrection.
This is his current position--where he is in heaven.
He told this to his disciples before he ascended up into heaven:
"All power in heaven and in earth is given to me." (Mat.28:18)
And then he said: "I am with you always." But that doesn't mean he is exercising his earthly power on earth. That is quite evident with the sin that is ruling on earth, rather than His Righteousness!

    in heaven.
The whole world lies in darkness. Satan is the god of this world.
And they will, at the Great White Throne Judgement.
I don't believe the current leader of ISIS has bowed the knee to Christ yet, do you? For that fact I am not so sure how many of the governors of the states, how many of the congressmen, or how many of the white house itself including Obama, has bowed their knee to Christ and confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father? Can you tell me that OR.
Perhaps, in all of them, 100% of them, have not, then the Kingdom has not come.

    Watch the accusations.
Jesus Christ is not reigning on earth, and he never claimed to be.
He has chosen not to exercise his authority to reign until a later time arrives.
IOW, He will reign in HIS time, not YOUR time. He is sovereign.

Jesus Christ is reigning everywhere. That is what Scripture states. I realize that Satan is called the "prince of the power of the air". But he is only a prince Sovereign GOD is King.

As I have stated in the past, I know no Greek, That stated let's look at what is written.

V 15 Is relative to what was stated in V 14, that being the prophets agree that God would take out of the nations (Gentiles) a people for his name. Giving them his Holy Spirit V 8
Is the Holy Spirit inclusive of the gifts of the Spirit, thereof upon which the recipients are to build upon? Those who have the firstfruit of the Spirit of Rom 8:23 The church? Those in the parable in Luke 19 who received pounds? Occupy til I come, he told them.

V 16 begins with; After this or after these things; What this, what things? The taking out of the nations a people for his name. What will he do after he is through taking out of the nations a people for his name? Occupy til I come. I will return. Verse 16 is not a quote from Amos 9.

    Barnes - Verse 16
After this - This quotation is not made literally either from the Hebrew or the Septuagint, which differs also from the Hebrew. The 17th verse is quoted literally from the Septuagint, but in the 16th the general sense only of the passage is retained.

    Coffman -
The Scripture to which James appealed in this is a free rendition of Amos 9:11,

    Clarke
These two verses, 16th and 17th, are quoted from Amos 9:11, Amos 9:12, nearly as they now stand in the best editions of the Septuagint, and evidently taken from that version, which differs considerably from the Hebrew text.

The after these things has to do with V 14 and the I will return has to do with the rest of V 16. IMHO.

Jesus was the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Therefore let us keep the feast, What feast? The feast of unleavened bread. Why should the church of God keep the feast of unleavened bread?

Because: Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened.

How are we unleavened? Because Christ was made alive from the dead, his blood washes away our sins, we are unleavened. Proof that it is his resurrection that allow his blood to wash away our sins. 1 Cor 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
Washing of regeneration, that saves us, takes away our sins, is what was done to the Christ.

The next feast is the feast of firstfruit, the giving of the firstfruit of the Spirit, the taking out of the nations a people for his name.

After this, I will return. What is the next feast and how does it effect the people for his name and the kingdom of God, and Israel the tabernacle of David Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, and the residue of mankind?

These are my thoughts, maybe not chiseled in stone but I do have the hammer and chisel in hand. :)

Just to show what I mean about the two English words "Earth and World" being interchangeable, thayer states in #3 of Kosmos that it is the world or the universe, then #4 he states the circle of the earth, #6 the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ, therefore the context in which Kosmos is used determines how it is translated but earth and world in the English language are synonamous terms
