This question, or these two questions, should be addressed to those teach and preaching gun Control. And that means Obama, Hillary, and all those on their high horse to remove guns from our society.

    1) Do you own a gun? And would you give them up, too?

    2) Would you trust your life to body guards, Secret Service folks that don't carry guns while protecting you and your family members?

I'm sure they would not be truthful. After all, look at Al Gore. He preaches climate control and global warming, yet flies around the world giving speeches, in a privately own jet. But, it we could trust them to be honest, I have to wonder what their answers would be?

    Selah! :wavey:
How about you? What would you ask them when it comes to gun control?

I don't remember anyone preaching gun control on BB. Certainly not recently.

The real question is do you trust Jesus or Smith & Wesson?

There was a gentleman from Canada that used to preach it. Haven't seen him around lately.

Who said that they are mutually exclusive? It is the same type of reasoning that declares that wearing a seat belt while driving is not trusting Jesus.

Do you trust Jesus or the locks on the doors of your house?
Do you trust Jesus or the seatbelts in your vehicle? Or its brakes?
Do you trust Jesus or your insurance?
Do you trust Jesus or your savings and income?
Do you trust Jesus or your doctor?
Do you trust Jesus or your fire department?

    Nice guy.

He did not pass away, did he? I seem to remember that he was dealing with serious health issues.

No, no! Don't pick on plain_n_simple. He's right!

Luke 22:36 says "And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one."

Now, if you can read Greek, and have access to the oldest and best manuscripts you can see that Simon Peter answered and said, "No, no, Jesus. We will just trust in you. We don't need a sword. That would just prove we don't really trust you. You just aren't making any sense! Everybody knows bad things never happen to good people! Jesus, just trust God. When you do that you will never have to worry about being robbed, or assaulted, or beaten, or crucified, or anything like that."

According to the latest available data from the Centers for Disease Control, drug overdoses were responsible for 38,329 deaths in 2010, 30,006 of which were unintentional. That's a rate of 105 every day, and that number doesn't take into account the 6,748 people treated every day for the misuse or abuse of drugs.

In comparison, traffic accidents were responsible for 33,687 deaths in 2010. Firearms killed 31,672 people, and 26,852 died as a result of falling.

The overdose epidemic is not a new phenomenon. The CDC reports that drug overdose death rates have risen steadily since 1992, seeing a 102 percent increase from 1999 to 2010. Drug overdose deaths first overtook traffic deaths in 2009 and continued to grow the subsequent year. Preliminary CDC estimates for 2011 suggest the trend has continued, though the report notes that the final number of overdose deaths may well be higher than the initial reported numbers, due to delays pending investigation of the cause of death.

In 60 percent of all overdose deaths, prescription pharmaceuticals were to blame.

And to think, me and my three other siblings and our mother lived with my father from at least 1934 - 1963 with several guns in an unlocked "closet" (Whatever it was, it wasn't primarily designed to be a gun closet.).

We even witnessed our father loading with gunpowder his own shot gun shells---definitely "child abuse"!!!

He even allowed (at least my brother and me) to actually shoot at various target practice configurations---training to kill our friends & neighbors & classmates & yes, even our parents themselves I suppose!!

Guess what happened?? Well my oldest sister turned 80 YO in May of this year, my other sister turned 76 YO in February, my brother will turn 74 YO in August, & WPE3BQL turned 68 YO this May.

None of us ever killed any other human being.

Please Bro. Crabby & his BB disciples, explain in documented fact, using God's Word would be a plus (i.e., very specific verses and/or passages) why we somehow failed to kill another human being (PS --- WPE3BQL spent a total of 23 years in the military and had access to "military-grade" rifles and/or other small arms. He was even awarded the Small Arms Expert Marksman Ribbon.)

I probably won't hold my breath for very long waiting for his/their detailed response(s).

    http://faithfilledfamily.com/power-of-prayer-stops-armed-robbery/#content-anchor

After the victim praying over him aloud, an armed robber returned the man’s wallet and cell phone.
Christian News Network reported that 21-year-old Shaquille Hairston was proceeding to the bus stop after work in Euclid, Ohio when he noticed that he was being followed. The robber was armed, and demanded Hairston give him all of his belongings. When Hairston said that he didn’t have much money on him, the man struck him in the head with his gun.
Hairston gave the mugger his wallet and phone. Then, he did the unusual- the victim prayed for the mugger and his family. The robber then returned the stolen items, apologized, and explained that it was his first robbery, and had committed this crime because he was unemployed.

Hairston invited the man to church and offered to help him. The men shook hands and Hairston promised to pray for him.

Hairston said that he prayed because he felt that if this was to be his last night on earth, he wanted to go out knowing that God was with him, and God was on his mind. He said he knew that he would wake up in Heaven.

Police are now looking for the mugger, but Hairston says he has forgiven him.

“My concern has been on him, and that God will touch his heart and tender his heart so he won’t even feel that he has to do that,” he said.

Jesus is awesome if you can trust Him. :jesus:
