Matthew 5:28 Jesus said "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." So will that keep one out of Heaven? She was an adultress according to John the Baptist she was also not saved. Her husband had not consented to let her go for one and women back then were not allowed to divorce the man. Now her husband Herod's brother could have divorced her for adultery. They commit adultery with the first act, after that they have become one flesh according to Paul. Herodias however was not divorced and was not put away but had freely committed the act of adultery. No the woman brought to Jesus caught in the very act of Adultery, why did He not say stone her? Instead when it was all over He said, John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. He forgave her sin and said sin no more. So if after they commit the act and become one flesh does it continue to be adultery if they have consented to become husband and wife? Secondly, what about Jacob he worked seven years for Rachel and when he went in unto her he was given Leah and Leah was called his wife, he didn't work for Leah nor agree to marry Leah but the act was committed and she became his wife. Then he worked another seven years for Rachel and she became his wife too, so which one was an adulterous relationship. You see there are way too many examples in the bible that could by our standards be considered adultery and yet multiple marriages were allowed. Throughout scripture we find them. Where and how do you determine which is adultery and where it stops being adultery?

Fornication is a sin that is practiced outside wedlock and during the betrothal periods as pre-marital contracts. Remember mother of Jesus and her fiancé Joseph in Matthew 2, whole chapter.
Adultery is a sin inside the wedlock oath. It is cheating against the spouse. Divorce and then remarriage, while the spouse lives. Marrying a man or a woman who was put away from spouse. That's why God forbids remarriage in case of divorce. That's why adultery is a road to Hell likewise homosexuality, fornication, abortion, etc. Remarriage God does allow ! It is only for the widowed people ! Only death of spouse frees the surviving part to be free from the law of bondage to his or her spouse who died. With God's blessing the surviving spouse can get remarried unto a new mate. Only, if a new found mate is not a divorcee. Got to be a bachelor or also widowed. But adulterers (remarried divorcees) and fornicators God will curse to place called Hell. Hebrews 13:4.

Abraham's servant went and brought back Rebekah, the one God showed him would be Isaac's wife. GOD had appointed her to be Isaac's wife. So how would it be fornication if God had already appointed her as Isaac's wife? That's the reason the servant took her back because she was the one God showed him to be Isaac's wife.

They were MARRIED as God had appointed her to be his wife.

By the Biblical definition of Genesis 2, PRE-FALL of man, he most certainly would have been guilty of commiting adultery. Post- Fall, no.

My understanding of Scripture is that during the pre-Christ appearance, one man for one wife was what God intended from the Garden. After the Fall, God ALLOWED polygamy in much the same way as HE ALLOWS divorce. But His intent has always been the ideal as seen in the Garden.

In the years between the institution of marriage in the Garden and the restoration of marriage to God's high ideals by Jesus , polygamy existed as far back as Genesis 4 with Lamech. It was the law of that time and viewed apparently the same way as divorce is today.

So if Scripture says that Hagar was given as a wife, I have to assume it means wife, and under man's laws back then, she was a wife.

Jesus restored that marriage covenant to that ideal of one man for one wife.

That doesn't mean that you continue in the sin anymore than you would tell the homosexual who is saved that he can continue to commit the homosexual offense.

How can Jesus forgive, if a rebel who asks for forgiveness, but continues in his or her sin and attempts to justify it by perverting the Scriptures ? To repent doesn't mean just to ask God to forgive you for sin on which God caught you. To repent means to turn away from sin in which you dwell in and start new life. Many people reject Christ's demands to live holy lives, many walk the broad road that leads to Hell. Unless you repent, you will likewise perish. Luke 13:3.

Goats will be goats. Are you trying to herd goats?

Christ has never demanded goats to do this. No sheep does the above.

You're preaching to the choir. The goats are saying 'Naaaaaaaa!'

Unrepentant sinners are nobody but goats or wolves in sheep uniforms. In one word - hypocrites bound for place called Hell. God always parts repented sinners who fear Him from repentant sinners who are proud in their sins and rejecting His Word.

So you're not a goat herder. That's good, it looked like you were on here herding them to change them into sheep. Many of us on here may have differing views on things but that doesn't mean this place is a goat haven, and even if there are goats here your preaching to them won't change one thing.

You know what one of the major problems with preaching a works based salvation is? -> It can always be turned around on you. It can turned around on anyone! You know why? ;)

So a woman has an ex husband who cheated on her numerous times and finally left her for another woman, divorcing her and remarrying. This woman then remarries as well and she and her husband are saved. Just how does she "turn away from sin" in this case?

If this innocent party woman dares to remarry, while her guilty party husband lives, she will become same adulteress likewise her guilty husband. Mark 10:11-12. Luke 16:18. They both will be damned to Hell, even they might profess Jesus as God. Hebrews 13:4. To avoid going to Hell, she must stay single and obey God. God demands us to be holy and not happy. Jesus demands Narrow Way that is enduring and persevere !
