Faith in Christ is not the same as faith in a wife, parachute, chair, bridge, starting a car and other carnal illustrations.

Show us in Scripture where this is taught as being the same as these. That's right, you cannot because you've gotten your hand me down teachings from Finney and his disciples. :)

But please do, fetch us a verse that supports your error.

I have read and read the above several times and cannot understand your rationale.
The NIV is known for its inclusive language but it does not use inclusive language in Hebrews 10:29. Yet I have no objection to the way the NRSV renders it. There is no "deadly danger" whatsoever. Christ is not the one sanctified in this verse. I have no idea why you believe such a thing.

Dead means dead. A person who is spiritually dead cannot spiritually reach out.

Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

1 Corinthians 2:14 Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

    Dead is dead.

    My wife is not dead.

Exactly my point. You don't know and you don't want to know.

1 Corinthians 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

Loving your wife is NOT the same, nor is it on the same continent, as loving God. Loving your wife resonates from within YOU, and that love is innate. The Muslims love their children. I watched a video on the news a few years back where they showed a video of a young man who was going to die for their cause. He was going to be a suicide bomber. You should have seen his mom. She was so proud of her son. She was beaming. That is an innate love. Those who love God have been born of God. Read 1 John 4 Monsieur.

That's an innate love, mon ami.

This faith comes solely by divine birth, divine quickening, divine 'born from above', born of God, &c.

And that is solely by God. It's not of yourself, not of your will, nothing you can do to save yourself.

Why would I say such a thing???

Because it is you who bring up Calvin , more than all the Calvinists combined....

Should I say you have a "love for all things Calvin????"

You just posted that as soon as you see reformed or Calvinism...you stop looking, correct???

    Here you posted this;
Here in your own words and I could post dozens of pages of the same.....
So...let's see....you love Calvinism so much you desire to bring it up in every thread...I see.

Why? Are you a late comer, not been paying attention? I have given scores of verses. Obviously you haven't read any of my posts. Go back and read through the thread I have no intention of making a special exposition for your private eyes only.

You directed this @ Brother TCassidy, but I want to step in.

When you study Adam's account of the spiritual death that he had, look at this closely. What caused him to die? Both of us will quickly agree sin. What was the result of his sinning? He died spiritually that very moment, and the sentenceof death was placed upon him and all his posterity, including Eve, seeing she was taken from him. We are both in agreement here, too, I am quite sure. Now, what was ultimately Adam's downfall? It was being precluded from the Tree of Life. That was what caused him to die. The Tree of Life was the sole source of life for our souls, our spirits. Cut off from that, and we are spiritually dead. No Tree of Life(Jesus), no spiritual life.

Yes, dead means dead, which means "separated."
For example, God told Adam "In the day thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Adam ate; Adam died. And then Adam continued to carry on a conversation with God though he was dead. How is that possible? He was separated from God spiritually; not a corpse. Death is separation. He needed to be reconciled.
    Which is separation.
And death and hell shall be cast into the Lake of Fire which is the Second Death.
What is death? It is eternal separation from God, in this verse.
I didn't say she was. I asked if you put your trust, faith, confidence in her.
    Do you trust your wife?
    Do you trust God?
Only one brings salvation. Faith is faith. I don't believe God gives spiritual gifts or His fruit to unbelievers, only to believers. Thus God requires of the unregenerate to believe with their faith. As Jesus said: "According to YOUR faith, so be it."

    You responded to my statement:
When the message centers around TULIP I don't need to listen to any more of it.

I understand the five points of TULIP. I am not ignorant of them. There are much better things in the Bible to preach on.

And your point is: All who disagree with Calvinism are apostate??

    Death can mean separated.....
    Death can also mean Corpse....
You blend and conflate words and terms until it becomes error.

    I said "faith" not love.
That is your opinion unsupported by Scripture, at least scripture that you cannot properly expound.
Salvation is all of God. It is God's gift to man, to be received by faith. But God did not give the faith to man. Man is not a robot to have salvation forced upon him. He is the one who must choose to receive this gift by his faith.

Because that is what you do, Icon. And this post is evidence of it. It is what you do. Read your own post right here.
It is what you do. Why would you say such a thing? It is what you do!

He was still dead. He was not made spiritually alive until God himself provided a sacrifice with the shedding of blood with the added benefit of providing them "coats of skin." But blood had to be shed, "for without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin."

Try on this classic from DHK back on 9/28/2008 :"My pet dog trusts me; has faith in me. Did God give him that faith?"

That is a classic remark that I will save.
You must have flipped through the pages at a mighty fast pace when you claim you "went through a confession once."
Just about every post of yours refutes that remark. We have constantly corrected you as to what we believe yet you continue to characterize us with absurdities we have never, nor shall ever hold to.
