Ah, but you did, about a year or two ago. And you repeatedly received advice talking about being a stumbling block to others; to which you consistently replied that it was only a Mike's, and you didn't get drunk; thereby doing exactly what Rolfe said you do.

    Back to ignore.

A lie. I never drank a Mikes in front of anyone that would be a stumbling block. With the exception to my now ex-wife I drank the beverages outside of her presence.

Something tells me with all the negativity directed towards me on this board that I am not liked. Maybe I am wasting too much time on this board.

"Ex-Wife!!!" WOW, that happened quick. OK Then, for a real picker upper, do what my Great GrandPa did every morning, before he went out for the 1st milking......rain or shine, shot of slivoitz. Lived to 87!!! Tough guy & his commentary on that was, "Son, it will put hair on your chest!" :Wink

    Where exactly did I lie?

You said you never asked for advice about alcohol; I did not say anything about you drinking in front of others, merely pointed out that you had asked for advice and the opinions of others, and described the generics of what you did.

You don't see me accusing you of lying; I propose that you merely "forgot" that you had posted about this.

Yet, when I posted the truth of the matter, your first inclination is to accuse me of lying; which ALSO confirms what Rolfe wrote to/about you.

So provide the exact thing I said that's a lie, or post an apology.

Don I have an opinion on you and therefore want to stick my tongue behind your back. But will apologize if I offended you. Would you ever apologize to me?

RSR - heard and understood; but I've been accused of telling a lie. It was a simple request; show me what I said that was untrue, or apologize. Hasn't happened yet.

As for apologizing to John--of course I would. Show me where I've wronged you, and I will apologize.

Yep, I tend to get a little unreasonable when someone says I've told a lie, but then can't back up their accusation, nor will they apologize for impugning my integrity. So yes, RSR, maybe this thread should be closed.

    Just to clarify -
Are you currently married to a second wife
    and/or
is the wife that you requested all that advise about - (would not attend your church, ect)
    now your ex-wife?

Evan, take this how you will, but I mean it sincerely and non-accusatory. But you're asking if being rigid will impede the gospel. Maybe. But a divorce definitely will. I urge you (even if you've already gone through with it) to seek reconciliation. People that are "too rigid" yet consistent will at least be known for their consistency. But if you want to reach someone and they find out you've been divorced recently, then you've lost your testimony with them.

Probably true, however she was too difficult to live with, she would not leave and cleave but insisted on having her mother and sister live with us, operated as a clan and would not include me in their activities, and would cater to them over me.

You are technically correct I had no biblical reason, but I had a good reason. Have I lost my testimony? With some people I bet I have but not with everyone. I guess its a good reason to evangelize on the streets where people do not get to know all the details of my life, for I am not and far from perfect.

I did. She has refused to reconcile. However I learned she has colon cancer from the pastor and I sent her a text and offered to pray for her. I guess that is reconciliation in a way is it not?
