Also what is wrong with street preaching and being a open air preacher?

Peter should he been strippd of being Apsotle, David as King then!
Agree with you the the ideal of God is until death, but there re NO scriptures that Prohibit a Man whose dirvorce was biblical to not be ale to pastor a church.
His problem will be with local Christians finding fault with him, but not God!
Scriture stes him to be husbandof one wife as not many wives at same time, not if hve wife after first one, as what if wife dis, not allowed to remarry again?

You have just stated then that Jesu was not qualified to lead a local church!
Doesn't the Lord provide by his Spirit/Godly counselers, Scriptures, teaching/life experiences wha is needed for sinle man to bethe pastor if called so by God?

Could Jesus or Paul Pastor a church?
Th Bible staes him to he but onewife while Pastor, against Polegamy, not speakingto if divorced/remarried!
Think most against singles/remarried pastors are not from theBible, but from personal expereinces...

    Good point!
But while here on arth, you would say that nether him nor Paul were qualified to pastor a church?
If one holds to no sngles, many Important Chritians in history just got put on the "ignored list" for pastoring!

Why would I say that? Christ had a bride, and Paul was probably a widower.

    Divorce leaves a wound.

So no matter the circumstance we would have a wounded preacher and/or pastor.
The very fact this topic has generated so great response shows how serious it is in the midst of the churches.

    There will always be chit-chat.

Personally I would recuse myself from any public ministry.
Perhaps teaching adults or maybe a nursing home ministry would be fine.

That is my opinion, it should not be that a wounded preacher or pastor hold an office except in the case of necessity caused by lack of resource.

The single man though has the Holy Spirit to equip him to minister, and would have hopefully godly elders and others, so why not pastor?

Also in each of these "one woman man" passages "blameless" is mentioned and must be considered.

It can be difficult to define this concept - what does it mean and to whom does it apply?

As an example we had a man in a church where I was the assistant pastor who had been considered and suggested to be a deacon. He had one wife, no divorce.

However before he was saved he led a riotous life and a womanizer.
His salvation experience was dramatic and emotional his turn around to a godly life was miraculous and persistent.

We found that in his case he was blameless as to be considered to the office of deacon.

Each case has a life of its own, but that's probably for another thread. What is blameless?

Cannot just assume that he mweant must be married, as he himself was single, so best understanding would be that if a man was married, to have just 1 wife when called!

That will work however IMO that interpretation must be left up to the local church seeking a pastor.

Was he? How do you know that?

That is your interpretation, but it is not what the bible says. It says the Bishop MUST be blameless in the following areas. So he MUST be the husband of one wife, he MUST be temperate, he MUST be sensible, he MUST be modest, he MUST be hospitable, he MUST be good at teaching; he MUST not be a drinker, he MUST not be violent, he MUST not be greedy for money, but he MUST be gentle, he MUST not be quarrelsome, he MUST not be covetous; he MUST be one who rules his own house well, having children in subjection with all reverence; (but how could someone who doesn’t know how to rule one’s own house take care of God’s assembly?) he MUST not be a new convert, lest being puffed up he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.

And how do you arrive at that reading in English, or Greek, or any other language?
