If you are putting that into terms such as we live a life contrary to God and all of the sudden God one day comes to us with His Spirit and enables us to believe then I disagree. If you place that into the context of God's Spirit is always working to enable us throughout a life time then yes I agree.

When one gets saved is due to the timing of God enabling us to be ale to respond to Jesus, not due to us doing anything before that happens...

Yea I know what your position is but its wrong. To them that believe He gives the power to become the sons of God so says John 1. Romans 10 tells us "if" you confess and believe you "will" be saved. v.10 says justification is after and a result of believing on the Lord Jesus. We must confess He is Lord and believe in our hearts. See particular Baptists are trying to resolve a doctrinal tension the wrong way. The tension is trying to understand the where the line of credit for our salvation ends and our responsibility begins.

God offers salvation and we are responsible to receive it.

Again I ask when you wrap a gift and give it to someone do you then claim that the gift they now possess is a result of synergism? Who gets the credit for the gift giving?

I think that we are looking at different aspctson this, as mine is wha God does for the sinnr before, and you are looking at what the person does when Godd oes His work!

God puts te million in your bank acount, and drives you to the branch and th eguard brings the money to you...

Not all people are convinced of the same story, no matter the story. Everyone hears something a little different
There can be two witnesses to a crime although each one will explain it differently. No two people think exactly alike.

So some people are convinced because they are smarter or more spiritually sensitive than others? So they are saved on their own merits, of being smarter or more spiritually sensitive than their neighbor?

You always try to make what I say into something that was never intended. I never said anything about being smarter or more spiritual.

Then why was one convinced and the other not? What was the difference?

So it was the good work of not resisting the call of God that resulted in the one man getting saved?

I would hardly call yielding to the will of God a work, brother :)

When you share the Gospel you don't ask the person to respond?

Did you believe, and respond the first time you heard the gospel?.

I didn't in fact I was raised hearing it nearly every day and did not respond until I was 14 years old. I listen to the Sunday school teacher and the Pastor all the time, yet I did not respond. I knew the ministry of our Lord and all the prophets The only thing important is that I did respond. Why was I moved by what I heard. I had heard it all before. Preached the same way. Mostly by the same preacher. The only difference was the speaker and the fact that he taught more on my level of understanding I suppose. There were times when I was younger that I wanted to respond. I was afraid of being embarrassed I was afraid that I'd be bored to death, but most of all I did not want to be a hypocrite like all those who look down on me because my family were poor. We came to church walking or in an old car that barely made it.
The reasons people do not respond are as many as the sand grains in the sea. Some never respond yet that isn't because they weren't chosen it was their rejection of Christ that sent them to hell. It isn't God's fault men do not respond.

You are so set on works it's all you think about. Every thing has become work to you. You're wrong and cannot prove what is work or isn't
