Chick tracts go out in the thousands weekly from them. Why is it ineffective? How do you know worldwide people do not read them or they are not effective?

That was then, and this is now! There is a place for the Billy Graham crusade, but most savedthrough the personal approach!

Sure. In a number of occasions, they address crowds. In many other places, they address individuals or small groups. It is not and either/or situation. Peter and other members of The Twelve were well-known by the people and had some built-in credibility as ones who had walked with Jesus.

The Lord has used them to save sinners, but the attitude in them I don't think reflected well on Christiaity!

Evan, I was an ardent reader of Rice. He and others inspired me when I was young and able (and I still do evangelism on occasion) and did open-air preaching, door-to-door visitation and tract distribution.

But that doesn't mean just because I take and/or follow human advice that I believe every other jot and tittle that they teach.

And perhaps you misunderstand some of what you read?

Our lives do indeed speak volumes. It's a wordless language but a language nonetheless.

If there are unresolved issues in our lives then this will show up as something society calls "body language" and "his (or her) demeanor".

The silent language of God's love is a witness to the world.

    Galatians 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Every verse in this portion of scripture is important.

The person who wrote that answer does not know the biblical truth that we need to be friends and to live and speak to the lost, fodid not Paul ste that he di NOT mean stop hanging around with the lost?

That theBEST way to witness is to live for Jesus, and show His love towards the Lost, and tht will persuade them to ask of Him?

The difference between him and you Yeshua is his argument is rooted in scripture while yours is rooted in your opinions.

Not a single scripture reference. This is the problem with your arguments Yeshua. All emotion and little to no scripture.

Does Peter count as scripture writer?
And I do not mean this in a rude way, but you use quotes and other books other than the Bible as a source a lot ofthe time..

Yeshua. Your arguments are not scriptural. You rejected the article because it had plenty of scripture.

    Yes.
1 Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing.

Are you trying to say that scripture arguments mean nothing?
