Well, a prophet you need not be. Only a believer, born again, spirit filled, and God led. And it doesn't take a prophet to see you are a child of the living, loving God! Shalom ...

Only time will tell, BUT we KNOW what we would have had with the only other option, and I am a firm believer that God "--raises up and puts down rulers--" as suits His purpose.

In retrospect, the ZERO was probably the best thing that could have happened to our country, because without his 8 year reign of "destroy the USA", we never would have been ready for a non-politician to become POTUS, ergo same ole, same ole in perpetuity!!!!!!!!

Regardless, we have what we have, and as Christians we should be extremely thankful that their is no longer a stigma to praying in public IN JESUS NAME, and hopefully the loud mouth "offended" will be IGNORED by all save the left now!

Pray for who God has given us, to govern in His will and quit predicting what the left has so loudly & vituperatively proclaimed.

There will be NO individual that meets the standard (IE sinless) that some so righteously proclaim as their standard until Jesus comes back for His millennial reign, so don't be like the snowflakes and spend your future scared/pouting/seeking safe spaces etc.

Christians are better (literally, or should be) than that self-indulgent self-pitying attitude.

    That's why I said I think he will. :)

Another "I think" is that - I think (as I suspect) , that your prophetic insights are scripturally based.

Thanks brother ... your thoughts are right on! There is no other way to provide prophetic words then via Scripture.

You do not see yourself as Prophet in the bblical sense of giving forth revealtion from God, as OT ones did, do you?

Y, my thoughts and teaching has always been that NT "prophets" are "forth tellers" based upon the scripture.

Yes, the apostles were prophets in the sense that they were given the prophecy directly from God e.g. the Revelation.

The Liddell Scott Lexicon includes the word "interpreter" as one who interprets FROM the text of scripture.

Or a teacher from the prophetic scripture texts.

He is not a good speaker. He has no sense of rhythm, cadence, or variation in tone or volume. He is like a foghorn with the volume cranked up to 11.

He gave a stump speech. He preached to the choir. He lambasted the US as being a cesspool, "an American carnage" with "rusted out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation."

He did not mention working with Congress to fix the problems he named. He barely mentioned his predecessor.

He gave a nationalistic rant. No one was inspired to do anything because he didn't ask for help. He just said that we would be great again, that we would win again. Not even a bare outline of how he would do this. He will not fail because he said he would not fail. He gave his campaign speech for the thousandth time.

I'm going to give Trump a grade of D.

Absolutely, he spoke straight, didn't mince words.

Did not hide his forwardness, but wore his ego proudly on his presidential sleeve.

He did not have the honed and polished eloquence of an establishment career politician.

    Not suave, no schmooze...

    Same old Trump.

    Nice.

Shouldn't the inauguration speech be different than a campaign speech? Shouldn't the imagery created be better than "rusted factories scattered across the landscape" and "American carnage"? That's what you get when Steve Bannon writes the speech.

The speech needed to be inspiring, hopeful, and it wasn't.

The one line about children looking up in the night sky, children whether born in urban Detroit or rural Nebraska, and having the same dreams, had a good, unifying emotional tug, though somewhat generic.

Well, considering now that the news is reporting that Steve Bannon, a known anti-semite, white supremacist actually wrote the speech...I stand by my original assessment.

Also, I'm not nearly as young as you may think I am. I've lived a long time, been through some seriously hard times and had the self-awareness to constantly re-evaluate my beliefs and positions as reality continuously chose to rise up and smack me in the face. I would advise everyone to take time to develop that self-awareness.

My understnding would be that one witht he gidt of prophesy will have insight into applying bible to current situations, but not able to speak "thus sayth theLord", asthat is what Charasmtics teach Prophets can do!
Just trying to see if our brother saw himself as THAT type of prophet!
