Kellyanne Conway says Donald Trump’s team has ‘alternative facts.’ Which pretty much says it all.

If there is one video clip that describes the new reality for the political media — and for the truth — during the President Trump era, it is the one above.

It's a discussion about White House press secretary Sean Spicer, on his first full day in that job, having taken to the podium and made easily disproved claims about the size of Trump's inauguration crowd.

I think that this sums it up: “Fake news” is so yesterday. “Alternative facts” is where it's at now.

Yes, denigrate people who feel they are a different gender (and rightly so), but it's OK to perceive facts the way you want them to be.

"If I feel the inauguration crowd was the largest in history, then that's the way it is!"

Yes, it does. It means the corrupt old media cannot be trusted at all to report the news objectively. It means that every lie they tell or print will be confronted immediately and openly.

It's about time.

Still falling for the same fake news, I see. :Roflmao

Some of you have let your hate for Trump make you lose all objectivity. Pity really. Next thing we know, you'll be a full blown leftist liar yourself.

“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”

Adolf Hitler

This seems to be the philosophy of Trump and his team.

Look at these two pictures. The U.S. is becoming more and more like the country in the novel "1984." If the government says white is black that's the new reality.

Convince me that the bottom picture shows a larger crowd than the top one.

The suggestion that I am a liar is off base and is beneath you.

I do not hate Trump. I distrust him. I think that he will turn out to be the Republican Party's version of Obama.

Carpro's World:

Losing all objectivity = Comparing crowd size in two photos and judging which one has more people.

It even goes beyond this. In an interview on “The Diane Rehm Show,” Donald Trump supporter and CNN political commentator Scottie Nell Hughes declared the end of facts.

“Everybody has a way—It’s kind of like looking at ratings, or looking at a glass of half-full water. Everybody has a way of interpreting them to be the truth or not true. There’s no such thing, unfortunately, anymore, as facts,” she added.

Yes Orwell would be shocked at how close he was. I have lost track of how many times I've seen people change positions because Trump changed positions and then claim that was always his position. "We have always been at war with Eurasia"

Prove your version of the truth, then.

He won't, he'll demand proof of others but then quietly disappear from this thread because by now he probably has realized that he can't prove anything to the contrary. Meanwhile, he'll happily drink whatever swill is served by Spicer and take it as the gospel like a good little Trump sycophant.

I'd be more worried that he's the second coming of Richard Nixon.

The big difference is that at least Nixon tried to hide the lies.

This whole thing is just ridiculous. CNN post it for one reason only, to minimize the Trump victory. They did the same all during the campaign, lied about his crowd sizes, lied about the level of his support, and basically just ignored what was going on. Why? They had their candidate. The election made them look like fools and their lies are a contributing factor to the defeat of their corrupt candidate.

This is just more of the same. In the end, it doesn't matter if Trump's inauguration crowd was larger or smaller than Obama's. It doesn't change a thing. Considering the historical implications of Obama's election, his crowd should have been larger. There was also no threat of violence against his supporters that might come to DC. In addition to that, the bulk of Trump's support would have to come from far awy. Not so with Obama.

Bottom line, Trump is president. They need to get over it and try to go back to being a news organization instead of the leading propaganda outlet for left wing nutjobs.

And the losers here need to do the same.

I am so thankful Trump defeated Hillary! God has a plan. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
