I can assure you I'm a circumspect person. You've judged me based on political affiliation and perhaps a few short responses to some other short responses. As you might know, it's easy to get sucked into tit for tat. But believe me, I'd rather have thoughtful exchanges.

 

I've judged you? You assigned me a political label (liberal) based on just a few responses. Do you use the term so much that you don't even know you are doing it? I say again, fix yourself before you talk to me again.

 

Yes, I believe you are a liberal. No surprise, it's rampant in the Church. But so what? Liberal is not an insult. Why does that make you so mad? You attack the conservatives here and defend the liberals here.

Actually, let me just stop you right there. You are gonna keep listing Republicans that didn't vote for Trump. Here is the thing and I hope you are sitting down. There are people that feel that the Republican Party has been hijacked by an ill prepared, unqualified, self indulgent narcissist and our country is not going to benefit from his leadership. They are also Republicans.

Now you have two options here, keep calling everything that doesn't fall in line with Trump a liberal or provide well thought responses to issues you take exception with. Surprise me please.

Here's the Trump agenda:

• the appointment of conservative Supreme Justices like Scalia and Thomas.
• (this alone should be enough to sway any evangelical voter)
• localized education, and the rejection of Common Core.
• (a strong 10th Amendment stance)
• school choice, including the choice to homeschool.
• a tax plan that includes a 15% corporate tax rate.
• (endorsed by most Reagan economists)
• a secure border, which includes a border wall to help border agents.
• the deportation of all illegal aliens, forcing them to enter, or reenter, the country legally.
• strong gun rights.
• a strong military, and increased military spending.
• better treatment of our military vets.
• the destruction of ISIS.
• the blocking of immigrants who support Sharia Law (Islamic law), until we can figure out a better way to vet the extremists among them.
• smart defense agreements with allies, requiring them to pay their fair share for our military services.
• the destruction of bad trade agreements, like TPP, which take away american jobs.
• the repealing and replacing of ObamaCare.
• pro-capitalistic alternatives to ObamaCare such as medical savings accounts.
• the rejection of Global Warming extremism.

Let me know which of these is a hijacking of conservatism.

 

Just about every conservative candidate would also push most of that agenda.

 

Oh I would argue only conservatives agree with this agenda. So where is the hijacking you're alleging?

 

The scorched Earth approach to literally everything he has touched. Putting himself above criticism, obsessing over trivial things like inauguration turnout, Flynn scandal, costly vacations, calling POW's losers for being captured, frivolous wall project, alienated almost every country he has interacted with, picked sec of education as a reward, putting down media at every turn...and it's been a month.

 

Costly vacations? Really? Trump is not taking a salary as president.

And he specifically called McCain a hero, clarifying his comments. And McCain's an idiot! He's always thwarted conservatives. He hates conservatives.

And a wall is frivolous? LOL!

And putting down media is somehow bad? Wow. Just wow.

I'm sorry, but these are liberal talking points. You are a liberal. It's not an insult it's an observation. I could be wrong, but I'm not trying to be insulting.

He alluded to McCain being a loser because he was captured. Coming from a man that avoided service. I find that reprehensible. If you think it is a liberal talking point then we are truly done here.

You said earlier that I might be surprised by you. You were wrong. You fall back on the liberal label, your safety net because you simply are unable to think with the slightest bit of nuance. You are stuck in a binary pattern and I'm done wasting my time with you and the rest of your ilk that play word games while ignoring your own issues.

You say liberal because at this point it is a deliberate attempt to provoke. I have told you that I am not a liberal so now I can only assume you are calling me a liar yet you seem to lack the self confidence to go all in by just saying it to me.

If you think it was just a gaffe and not a deliberate attempt to insult McCain in that manner than you truly are being deliberately dishonest.
