Rightly groaned. It is not "VOIICE" (Victims of Illegal Immigration Crime Engagement).

One is either victim of a crime or not. Adding "immigrant" is essentially creating a special police force to monitor immigrant activity.
Nearly everyone of us has an immigrants past. Would we have advocated for our grandfather's to be monitored at a deeper level than someone who traced their lineage to Plymouth Rock?

 

What about the legal aliens who are victims of white supremacist crimes?

 

I know that it is a stretch, but that was my first thought when I heard it.

My second thought was that by omitting the "Illegal" bit from the name, he may have legitimized anti-immigrant sentiment in some people's minds.

Overall, I think that it was a bad move to announce it.

I think they just didn't put the extra i in the acronym so they wouldn't mess it up, but this is what you get when you twist up words, a lack of clarity and confusion. You could say that there is no such thing as an "illegal immigrant" if you assume "immigrant" implies legal. The left in particular is responsible for blurring the line between an immigrant and an illegal alien.
