Democrats Groan When Trump Announces Office To Help Victims Of Immigrant Crime

Democratic lawmakers let their opposition be known Tuesday to President Trump’s plan to open an office aimed at helping the victims of crimes committed by immigrants.

Democrats groaned loudly when Trump announced the creation of Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE), an office which will fall under the purview of the Department of Homeland Security.

“I have ordered the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to serve American Victims. The office is called VOICE –- Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement. We are providing a voice to those who have been ignored by our media, and silenced by special interests,” said Trump.

A chorus of groans rippled through the audience at the joint session of Congress.

One is either victim of a crime or not. Adding "immigrant" is essentially creating a special police force to monitor immigrant activity.
Nearly everyone of us has an immigrants past. Would we have advocated for our grandfather's to be monitored at a deeper level than someone who traced their lineage to Plymouth Rock?

I think they just didn't put the extra i in the acronym so they wouldn't mess it up, but this is what you get when you twist up words, a lack of clarity and confusion. You could say that there is no such thing as an "illegal immigrant" if you assume "immigrant" implies legal. The left in particular is responsible for blurring the line between an immigrant and an illegal alien.

They refuse to understand that we can allow for immigration for law abiders, but not criminals! It is perverse when illegal aliens committing crime have more rights than american citizens!
