"If Jesus is not the Lord over all, then he is Lord over none:"

Once he saves us, at that very moment , Jesus HIMSELF makes Him the Lord over our lives!

He does add to salvation, doesn't he? As what Justifies us is Grace alone/Faith alone, but he wants to mix that with sauctification itself!

Jesus is already the Lord over all of the redeemed, as we receive Him as such when saved!

Here's what he said, and there is no wiggle room:
Don’t believe anyone who says it’s easy to become a Christian.

I do not doubt he said that actual sentence.
What he means is another story.
    We do not"become" a Christian.....God supernaturally makes a sinner into a saint ezk36:25-27.
ITL.....many people profess many things...but as Titus teaches in works they deny what came out of their mouth.

I see. So professional writers construct sentences that are not clear, that convey more than the words alone communicated. How interesting...

I would suggest that we all write things expecting the meaning to be understood from the context those phrases are found in and that it is possible, by divorcing a statement from it's proper context, to make someones words mean just about anything we want them to.

Furthermore, as someone communicating on a message board you must be aware of the difference between implication and inference - I can imply something in my words that you might or might not infer, and you can infer something from my words that I never intended to imply.

Except that as a Theologian, Dr Mac should be expected to be that precise in his terminology!

And of course you can provided properly cited quotes that support this accusation?

wow - this proves my point completely - I wrote one thing that I believed to be perfectly clear and you read an entirely different meaning into it - it is about precision in terminology - it is about context and the lens you read through!

God doesn't make Himself Lord nor do we make Him Lord. He is Lord whether we acknowledge that or not; whether we are saved or not saved:

    Philippians 2:10-11

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is lord to the glory of God the Father

Should bow, the problem is that the natural man is not interested since he/she considers the gospel to be foolishness.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

God supernaturally convicts the natural man/women or he/she is made born again, what's the difference, oh yes I forgot, you need to protect your free will idol that makes MAN/WOMEN the final determiner!

Amen! Not only is it not easy, it's impossible. "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27).

Well, with everything being irresistible, irresistible justification, irresistible sanctification, how could we say that being a Christian is hard?

    Who says everything is irresistible?

Who says justification is irresistible? Are you referring to the efficacy of Grace?

    Who says sanctification is irresistible?
