Name the first sin mentioned in the Bible according to Orthodox Judaism? It is found within the first 3 chapters of Genesis. Being able to read Hebrew would make this easier. This sin also leads God to "curse" something also found in the first 3 chapters of Genesis.

A little history here. I was born Jewish and raised in the Orthodox Community. I was an Orthodox Rabbi at one point in my life.

I do not have an ax to grind here and just hoping for some light bantering after a few posts I will post an answer. You don't have to agree with my answers but it will give a little insight to just how the Jewish People interpret Scriptures.

CS Lewis got it right. Pride is the first sin. Satan's pride lead 1/3 of the angels astray. God chooses not to extend reconciliatory grace to the fallen angels.

I can only think of a few possibilities (but that isn’t saying very much).

First is Adam’s disobedience by eating the fruit. But if this was the answer then it wouldn’t have been asked . Second is Cain because Scripture notes sin crouching at his door. Cain also is the first instance where man sins against man (“misses the mark” on what it is to be man, so to speak) and this was not a sin out of ignorance (Cain knew of good and evil). But this is in chapter 4 . There is the serpent...... but I give up.
