You are just being obstreperous now. If you don't want to honestly discuss the issue just bow out gracefully.
Hey,.. you are the one adding to the scripture that which does not exist...How can I have an honest dsicussion when you keep moving the goalposts?

anyway I guess this thread will be closing soon so we can all bow out

Of course I agree with the passage that the day has been appointed but I disagree with you if you believe it has already happened.

Understood... lets set aside whether or not it is past for a sec...

If you believe the day has already been appointed, then how can it be "delayed"?

It isn't all fulfilled yet.
Exactly. Some is still future. Just like it says in Revelation 1:19 Write therefore the things which you have seen (in the past), and the things which are (in the present), and the things which will happen hereafter (the future).

Just because something was future to John hardly demands it be future to us.

No, I am not. It is you who refuses to deal with the simple bible statement "together with them in the air."

How can I have an honest dsicussion when you keep moving the goalposts?
I haven't moved anything. My position is exactly the same now as when we started this discussion. The dead in Christ rise first then the living will be caught up "together with them in the air."

Except you still keep editing out the "In the air." The phrase is "together with them IN THE AIR."

I've never disagreed with the fact that the Dead Rise first, then, sometime after that, the Living would be caught up and be together with them in the air.

I simply differ with your interpretation of air in this passage.

Thats the same position I hold!

I just don't see any scripture that indicates the duration of "then" is immediate, and have posted several scriptures supporting my position that it is NOT immediate.

I also do not hold your interpratation of AIR as being the earths atmosphere in this passage.

Glad to see you have come around.
I havent come around to anything.
Its been my position from the beginning.
You wont find one single post of mine that claims otherwise

You appear to be inventing a position that I do NOT Hold and ascribing it to me without warrant, so you can argue against it...

Theres a term for that somewhere....

Then why did you try so hard to explain away "together in the air" with all that completely off point "wife in New York" nonsense?

Well lets see ... God created the earth, man and He said it was very good.

But then,

Genesis 6:6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
7 So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."

Also:
Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way;
and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

God does what He pleases, though He is sovereign He alters His plans at His will.

So, for whatever reason He has delayed His coming.
