His presence with us now is always via the Holy Spirit.

Wow! This is a really sad thread. The vile heresy of Docetism seems to have reared its ugly head again. :(

Am I wrong in thinking that at one time Preterist thinking was banned from the BB as being so far outside the realms of Biblical accuracy to actually be considered heretical teaching?

I wonder if asterisktom and the other preterists would accept that Christ has now a physical body if Christ Himself said so? Oh, wait, He did say so in Luke 24:

"37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have."

I am not aware of it (I was off the BB for a long time while dealing with a health crisis) but the Squire might recall.

He is with us in body and spirit, although we cannot discern Him in our normal state.

Heretical teaching? Are you serious? On who's authority, I believe futurism is outside the realms of accuracy, So who is making the authority in this?

Thats a pretty strong accusation to say its not.

I believe Jesus came in judgment in AD 70, like the passages in the OT. God didn't come literally in them passages either, not physically or in spirt. Its metephorical language about judgment.

Mark 16:12 Afterward Jesus appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking in the country.

    How is this explained?

    Hey,

Don’t get all exercised, i was seeking information.

That the preterist rejects so much of actual theological ground and historical word study that it really shouldn’t alarm anyone that the view of some toward it is that preterest satisfies the level of the label heretical.

If they did not know the thinking related to the hypostatic union, do you think they will be able to accurately state from Scriptures this that tests the Spirit or spirit?

I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of the early church councils didn't deal with this matter.

    Did you hear the news?

Polycarp grieved he missed the second coming, so he taught it never occurred.

    (Sarcasm).

So, is this what it's come to? You're actually mulling this sort of censorship over? To ban Preterist thinking?

Again, I ask out of a desire for information.

It was not from a desire of censorship.

I should hope not. It's VERY disheartening to see it even being discussed.
