Once again, define sin. Can you do that? (besides just missing a target)

I would say Benghazi convicts her. On to Trump, his infidelity makes him a sinner and as for Manifort, well it’s not my place to judge him nor is it my place as a fellow sinner to judge the other two.

But as scripture points out that all are sinners & fallen short. I know I’m one... and every time I sinned, I freely chose it. For if you think about it, what is sin? It is common sense. It is reality. In truth, it is the only reality this sinful world has...it’s what we all have in common and everything else is confusion, lies, hypocrisy, sentimentality, delusion & falsehood.

Lastly, for all of us who know we are wicked sinners, there is always the hope of remorse and repentance... but for the grace of God....

 

Isn't it faith + obedience that gets us to heaven? We believe in Christ and obey His commands. Otherwise, we don't love Him, and without love, we perish.

 

I can't imagine how anyone knowing the depth and breadth of his sin can have any hope of Heaven where it is faith plus anything at all.

The Pharisee boasted of obedience. The sinner simply pleaded for mercy. One went to his house justified. The other did not.

What a bondage you must feel having to bear some of the burden of your salvation. As for me, Nothing in my Hand I bring, Simply to the cross I cling.

Agreed except in one point. Sin is the fruit of a corrupt tree. It isn't a choice.

You are asking me if I consider the Old Testament 10 commandments a list of "Sins" and why yes I do. It is Moses legalistic activities of all "Shall Nots" and they have not been abrogated by the New Testament (Matthew 5:18). Now here is few others:

Regarding working on the 7th day, why yes I do. So what?

 

Sounds like a sensible God to me.....hardly an Legalist or an Idealist which I view as the same thing.

 

I've heard older preachers relate this story when I was a kid!.. Back in the day when they preached to the farming community... On the Lords day when meeting time came the farmers in their bib overalls would come in from the field and attend service... As soon as service was over and they had lunch, back to the field they would go... Were they wrong?... They had crops to bring in and families to feed... Not like some who never attend church, and they are not in the same circumstances... We have a lot to learn from our forefathers on worship!.. Brother Glen
