    Textual evidence comes from various sources. Greek, Latin, Syriac, etc, manuscripts. Then there are the quotes from the early Church fathers, then we have the early versions, like the old Latin, Syriac, Gothic, Coptic, etc. These are far more reliable than any "text" that someone or group put together, like the United Bible Society, which would reflect their Liberal theology, like that of Bruce Metzger, , Carlo Maria Martini, Eberhard Nestle, and the other Liberal bunch, Johann Jakob Griesbach, etc, etc

    Surely they should tell the world, that the Lord hates the greater majority of them, because this is exactly what their theology teaches!

    God always dealt with saving out for Himself, electing some, not all to get saved, remember Noah and His family, and the Jews at time of Elijah still faithful to Him?

    how about the fact, that the nation Israel was God "elect", and the "apple of His eye", and yet God rejected them as His "elect nation"? Paul argues this very thing in Romans 9-11, where he warns Gentile believers that they too could be "cut off"/ So much for your "election"!

    through duty. Why do you suppose we have the likes of Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Rob Bell, etc, etc? Because the "Reformed" teaching that excluded the majority in their theology, drove these people away from the hard line, love lacking Churches that are thankfully on the decline.

    The Reformed teaching of the Cross and who Jesus wants saved, does NOT agree with the Bible, except when verses have been so twisted that they say what these believe.

    God rejected those who were jews by physical birth who were faithless in Him, see those lost in 40 years of the wilderness, but God saved and spared those who were really spiritual israel in the OT!
