You're the one who doesn't get it. The context is referring to malicious and accusing people on the internet who are always assuming the worst of others. In a forum like this, we are all supposed to be disciples of Jesus. If someone here automatically assumes someone they don't like is "scoring a bag of weed" simply because they are talking to a homeless person, they have severe issues.

Disciples of Christ, aren't Progressives. Liberal Progressives play for the other team.

    Right. You don't either.

I am assuming he is doing what I would be doing in a similar pose. I work with the homeless here and there. If he's writing something, he is probably providing information for that person to get assistance or contact information for that person's family.

Other people apparently can't imagine a person they don't like ever doing the right thing for someone in need. That speaks to their spiritual condition. It's weird how you immediately jumped to the idea that people would think he was trying to "score" some weed.

People tend to assume that others would do the same as themselves in that situation. Think about what you and others have been telling the rest of us here.

And there is your fundamental, ungodly error.

Something else to consider: True disciples of Christ don't lie, assume the worst of, or tell malicious stories about their enemies. It is completely incompatible with loving one's enemies. To continue with that behavior is a rejection of Christ's lordship. To continue in it long-term after being confronted with the sin demonstrates that one is a false disciple.

Never said I did. You don't read carefully.

You have quite an imagination. It has no basis in reality.

I was pointing out the illogical basis of your accusation. You can't assert that he is not doing exactly what I think he is doing.

Actually, everything I have said is based in reality. I work with the homeless from time to time. You obviously don't. Therefore, when I see someone doing certain things when interacting with a homeless person, I can have a pretty good idea what they are doing from posture and actions.

    I can. You weren't there.

He hasn't "worked with the homeless" and you are a self-righteous, self-important spinner of tales.

You can still give credit for it when someone does a good work.

You are correct. You can say all sorts of things, not caring if they are true or false. But you will be held accountable for every idle word.

How do you know that? If not before, he is in the photo.

And the bankruptcy of your character is revealed...

You assume, in your delusion. There is no evidence to support that. He could have ben buying crack or insulting the guy. You are seeing what you want to see. That is delusional. You have had a break with reality.

I see someone I don't like and assume from their actions and body language that they are doing the right thing. That's called loving your enemy.

You see someone you don't like and assume from their actions and body language that they probably aren't doing the right thing. But more than that, you attack those that assume the person you don't like is doing good. That's called hating your enemy.

    Matthew 5:43-45
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

Sons of the Father who inhabits the heavens love their enemies. Who is your father?

I haven't assumed what he was doing. You have.

Weaving a fantasy in your head from a picture is not love. It is delusion.

So you believe he is NOT talking to a homeless man? That's a really awkward pose for someone to have who is not interacting with another person.

Remember, you are the one who took exception to the following interpretation of the photo:

I can't believe I even have to explain this to an adult. Firstly, you assume this person is homeless. Is that because he's black? No? Why then is he homeless? Secondly, neither is making eye contact. I could make the argument that Biden is so disrespectful to the man that he is ignoring him while looking at a piece of paper. Thirdly, there is no pen that I can see.

You have deluded yourself because of your political ideology, and that scares the heck out of me, because there are millions like you, seeing what isn't there, and having the power of the vote.

    I feel the same way.

Because the OP said he is a homeless man. Also, I looked up the incident and the story is that he is a homeless man. Moreover, he is dressed in the way people who live on the street often dress.

I have no reason to disbelieve that the man is homeless.

At that very moment, they are not looking each other in the eye, but their postures indicate that they are interacting.

You could. That would be in line with your contempt for Biden and hating your enemies. But just because you could make the argument doesn't mean it is a GOOD argument or is supported by the photo. I just means you can string words together.

I took that detail from the OP. Maybe you should attack Adonia for saying such a thing. But you have been silent on this concern up to this point. That's telling.

:Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao So your argument is that because I don't like Joe Biden, I have NEVER voted for Joe Biden and DON'T EVER want him in political office again, I am deluding myself to believe he might actually be doing a good thing because of my political beliefs?! :Roflmao:Roflmao:Roflmao

It's called "loving one's enemy" by not assuming the worst of them without evidence. Jesus talked about it. You need to check into it.

It is better that persons who love their enemies have the vote than persons who hate their enemies.

I worked in the University of WA district Seattle as a Contract software engineer for several years - Insurance Company.

I would arrive it my rented slot in a parking garage at around 6:00AM Early so I could leave at 2:30PM to avoid the HORRIBLE I-5 Seattle rush hour TRAFFIC jam.

Upon my arrival I was accosted/approached by several homeless who "lived" in the garage!

I learned to bring several quarters in my sport coat pockets to keep from suffering injury - which was common when one refused to give some change.
One woman I had worked with who refused was thrown to the ground and suffered a gash to the head.

At about 8:AM the police would drive them away but one still needed to be careful at lunchtime.
I enjoyThai food and would walk 2 blocks to my favorite place who knew what ZERO stars meant.

Strange the "homeless" would DEMAND dollars rather than change at lunchtime.

A local paper did a study and found that one "homeless" person made about 45K/Annum panhandling.

At least one female homeless was arrested for "working" for food/money. Actually it was about 1 per year who made the news.Much more in reality I do believe

My assessment was that they did not need to live their lifestyle.
Lots of places to sleep/eat, an abundance of food banks, food stamps, Washington assistance of every kind VERY easy to obtain.
Washington State (Seattle) receives (or used to in the past) CA homeless "transplants" who were given bus tickets to Seattle!!

Seattle is perhaps the most liberal city on the West coast - maybe in America. The homeless (especially women with children) would be put up for weeks in a hotel until suitable housing could be had.

But I still felt compassion for them and would assist on a one-to-one basis for both charity and self protection.

Here is what he is saying: "Hi, I am Joe Biden, you know the good old regular guy, the friend of the working stiff. Oh, you don't have a job, my mistake. But that's okay, even though I have lots of money, like most liberals I give very little to charity. I might run for president in 2020, if I do can I count on your vote? And before I leave, here is an address where you can go and apply for a government stipend - you might be eligible. Have a nice evening".

Many assume that all homeless people are innocent and to be pitied. That may be the case for some, but for others, it is their utter rebellion against God that has them in the situation they are in. Now, that can be said fo us all, but the command to us all is, "Repent", and that is because we are not innocent, but guilty.

Liberals, by and large, don't love the homeless with a Christian love. They "love" with a worldly "love".

I have driven in that. It can get bad.

You were dealing with criminals who were shaking down citizens, not just homeless persons.

Those persons are panhandlers, not necessarily homeless.

Fort Worth attracts a lot of homeless people because they can get help here. And it is real help, not just a handout.

Because you are a fundamentally decent man.

There are lots of reasons why people become homeless. Often it is because they make poor choices (marry any abusive person, for instance), they develop an addiction, or they develop mental problems. Other times, it is because someone else has made a poor decision or they are trying to escape abuse (sexual, physical, emotional, etc.)

A good homeless program provides solutions for all of those issues.

    There's that blanket condemnation again...
