Where did paul/peter/Jesus ever add the social Gospel to the Gospel , at the time of it being proclaimed? One can do good works for the kingdom, but that is not the message of the Cross!

Were you not saying that we have both aspects of salvation and doing good works, as in being socially considerate?

 

No what I am saying is salvation is not just about what we are being saved from but also what we are being saved to. Paul was talking to Jews mainly and they already had the background. In terms of today's gentiles (that's you and me for all you civilian types) there is no Jewish or religious background as a foundation to bounce off of. We are saved from something and we are saved to something. Both are equally important and need to be heard in concert.
