It breaks the first and therefore all . For obedience to the first is obedience to all.

It is committing the only sin that God cannot forgive, deny Jesus as Lord, refusing to be saved by Him and rejecting Him outright!

How are FAITH ALONE folks going to argue that NOT having faith breaks the COMMAND of LOVING GOD, when LOVING GOD IS the #1 GOOD WORK.

THE ONLY definition of GOOD WORKS Is LOVE GOD AND LOVE NEIGHBOR.

Let me run this down slowly for our brothers here.

    FAITH ALONE <---required for salvation.

    NO FAITH ALONE = SIN

    Sin = Breaking Commandment

Breaking Commandment = Not doing LOVING GOD, LOVING NEIGHBOR

LOVING GOD, LOVING NEIGHBOR = GOOD WORKS

    Good Works are REQUIRED.

Good Works are the result of God Holy Spirit regenerating and placing faith and love in the believer. All Glory to God, none to men.

To show evidence that we have been already saved, but not part of getting saved!

You're gonna have to break it down slower. I thought I had a good grade when I took logic in college, but I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

It may not have anything to do with logic's....your blindness. For the plain simple text is clear.
The Light of the Gospel 2Corithians 4: 3-5
…3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.…

    James 2:17-19 Faith and Works
…17So too, faith by itself, if it is not complemented by works, is dead. 18But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19You believe that God is one. Good for you! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.…

So it would seem faith and works can not be divided as God can not, they are one as He is one.

Uh, the purpose of my post wasn't to display my own beliefs, but to express my opinion that the OP's argument was lacking in clarity.

The OP presents a logical argument (if this, then this). That's his choice, and obviously it's the common way that we discuss things.

But if you're calling me blind and inferring that my blindness comes from unbelief (which seems apparent in light of the Scriptures you auoted), I do take issue with that.

Ok, then you tell me what James 2:17-19 means and you will kill two birds with one stone.

One can be a mere professing Christian, buty they have nothing to evidence and show have been saved, while one who says Jesus saved me should have some works to show that they were really saved!

You got no bible verse, because your teaching is unbiblical.

One thing at a time lets get this straight Its not faith alone.

Since Calvinist just pretend to believe in faith alone for purpose of farming other Christians
Calvinist version is pretty simple, Is it a sin to refuse to hear the gospel?

It would seem that the argument of Faith or Works has already been addressed. "“You have faith and I have works.”
Back and forth and back and forth. Faith, NO Works, Faith NO Works! What the Holy Spirit is saying is Show me your faith without works. Those who believe that God is one know works are proof of faith. Faith and Works like God are one and the same. It would seem everyone needs to stop arguing about this, pointing their finger at one another. And for sure works are PROOF of faith .

    No problem.

    1. FAITH ALONE <---required for salvation.

    2. NO FAITH ALONE = SIN

    3. Sin = Breaking Commandment

    4. Breaking Commandment = Not doing LOVING GOD, LOVING NEIGHBOR

    5. LOVING GOD, LOVING NEIGHBOR = GOOD WORKS

    Are all these lines true?

    1. Do you need faith to be saved? The whole teaching of faith alone is you need faith.

2 If you don't have faith is this a sin? If you don't believe in Jesus Christ, If you don't have faith in Jesus, Is this a sin?

3 SIN = Breaking commandment. If you sinned you are breaking a commandment.

4 Which commandment did you break when you don't believe or have faith in Jesus? if it offends God your breaking love of God. If you get offended that someone offends God, they are breaking love of neighbor also. It is equated in 1 john 5 to calling God a liar if you don't believe the gospel.

5 Loving God , Loving neighbor are the ONLY GOOD WORKS.

Feel free to pick a number if you have trouble with it. Maybe you think #3 is false or maybe you heard #5 means something else.

The mere choice is a work. What the Holy Spirit is saying is -Like God is one Works and Faith are. If you are still trying to divide the two then you do not believe God is one.
