Dungeons & Dragons event encourages community
"Fellowship and Dragons had its first group meeting in Mabee Hall on Saturday. Attendees spend the first 30 minutes immersed in a Bible study, followed by two hours playing the game 'Dungeons and Dragons.'"
"Weston Weast, junior music major from Oklahoma City and RA in Mabee Hall...created the event....'It’s pretty much at the core a Bible study that leads into a ‘D&D’ session,' Weast said....'We started it last semester and now we are continuing it this semester and it’s still doing great.'"
"Weast said “Dungeons and Dragons” is similar to any average tabletop game....Brandon Denny, a freshman digital entertainment and technology major from Spring, said he heard about Weast’s event through flyers he saw around campus. 'Weston put up flyers about it everywhere and one day it just piqued my curiosity'"
Weast said he is excited to see people making friends through his event....'It’s really interesting as the RA to see a bunch of random freshmen who live in different halls coming together to play the game and learn about the Word.'"
