I have to agree with Samuels on this one...
The "fire" being spoken of in Matthew 3:11 and Luke 3:16 is the same thing as that found in 1 Peter 4:12-13.

    Agreed.
But they are evidences, not "conditions" to be met.

Jesus later baptized His Divinely Organized Institution He Called, "My church", that were always assemblies of Scripturally Baptised believers.

These that John were saying would be 'Baptised with, in, under, on, through, saturated, inundated, drowned in The Holy Spirit' WERE BELIEVERS WHO WERE ALREADY BORN AGAIN and Filled with The Holy Spirit in their souls.

Those of them that were Saved that got Scripturally Baptised by The Authority of God by the man, John, who was Sent by God to baptize were assembled in Jerusalem as a Divinely Organized Unit and Entity.

That was The church Jesus Founded during His Earthly Ministry and Gave her the Ordances and Commissioned her.

Just as the 11 Apostles, Paul, and the 70 were given Miraculous Instantaneous Gifts TO SUBSTANTIATE THEIR ORIGIN AND MESSAGE WAS FROM GOD ALMIGHTY, Jesus Performed the Fulfillment of the Prophet Daniel, by baptizing 'them', as A CORPORATE ENTITY to SUBSTANTIATE and PUBLICALLY INUGURATE HIS CREATION OF AN ASSEMBLY TO BRING GLORY to God.

    When did Jesus baptize?

    What did He baptize?

How does Daniel have anything to do what John the Baptist was telling his listeners?

    ...

Somebody tell me, even if you don't 'believe it'.

    Or,.........

You could go with The Bible.

Matthew 3:12 "Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the CHAFF" (added note: AND BAPTISE THEM) "with unquenchable fire."

7 "But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?" (added note: when Jesus will BAPTISE the lost chaff IN HELL).

8 "Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:" (to confirm that you have been Saved from being cast into the Lake of Fire).

9 "And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: (because that will leave you religiously lost and Cast and Inundated, and baptized, dunked, dipped, submerged in HELLFIRE)

" for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

10" And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the FIRE" (TO BE BAPTIZED WITH HELLFIRE by THE LORD GOD of The Universe).

11 "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, (on The Day of Pentecost, to Publically Ingurate His existing church, to which 3,000 souls WERE ADDED that Day) and with fire": (Hell)

12 "Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire" (by drowning the lost in Hell, forever.)

OK, I will refrain from Caps. They do suck.

They come off bombastic and I only intend them for emphasis for purposes of Worshipping God.

There was a huge thread on a Fig tree being Israel, when it wasn't and a huge discussion on stopping the entrance to being exposed to The Gospel of The Kingdom of Heaven, as if that referred to Eternal Life, and it isn't in there and no matter how much anyone looks there is Nothing that has any Spiritual Reality or Teaching that can be alluded to as 'the baptism of the Holy Spirit' and here's an entire thread talking about nothing.

    Absolutely nothing.

    As if it exists.

    And it does not.

As John Calvin himself rightly stated on this issue... We are indeed saved by grace alone thru faith alone, but that saving faith will not be alone, as will have some kind of fruit and good works to evidence one has been born again!

Do you mean here the pentacostal view of there being a second act of grace applied by God towards us, as evidenced by speaking in other tongues, and doing miracles and healings and having revelations?

If anyone does their name better be listed where God Gave them, otherwise they have no Bible for them, and don't have them, and The Holy Spirit has never baptized anything.

Please forgive me if I don't have them all here, but these are my 3 favorites ...

    1 Corinthians 6:9-10
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers,
    nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards,
nor revilers, nor extortioners will (not) inherit the kingdom of God.”

    Galatians 5:19-21
“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
    lewdness,
    idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;
of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told
you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

    Ephesians 5:3-6
“But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting,
which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.
For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any (no) inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.”

He was referring to those whose very lifestyle was to keep on habitualing sinning, but not speaking towards saved who fall into it from time to time!

Yes, there have been myriads of so-called "believers"
throughout the years who were NOT faithful, i.e. obedient.

Aaaah, you like my "habitual sinner" terminology.
But, dost thou understandeth that there are multitudes
in the churches today who are habitual sinners?

Yes, as described in the NT, and which is still applicable today.
I guess at this point, one could say, "God does not change!"
    (Malachi and Hebrews 13:8)

You've been there and done that (according to you) ...
in some kind of false congregation, and you hit the road, Jack.
But, please don't blame God or His word, etc. on all of that.
You can blame Satan working through that congregation.
    Okay?

In Matthew 3:11 and Luke 3:16 three distinct baptisms are meantioned. Had the Greek meant the baptism in the Holy Spirit and with fire were the same baptism the Greek form ". . . τω . . . και . . . ." would have been used. But ". . . βαπτισει εν πνευματ αγιω και πυρι," without the article "τω." So the use of "και" meaning another baptism. Look up Granville Sharp's Rule.

Obvious to some, completely the other way around to others.
    I agree.

    The Lord calls them "tares".
They were sown in the field of His "wheat" by the wicked one.
Do you understand that we are in the midst of the great falling away?

Christ's sheep do not fall away...
So, who are the ones that are falling away, and refusing to hear His voice?

" Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:" ( Ephesians 2:2 ).

I'll tell you this much...they are not faithful, nor are they obedient.:(

I don't belong to a denomination, and I have many Bibles in storage and for reading.

They are all "King James Version".
Whatever you are using, I prefer mine.:)

    3 are mentioned, yes.

    1 is water.

    "one baptism"

And the other 2 different ones, both symbolic and figurative, following the meaning and expression of immersion.
