Liberty - not worth supporting

Right . . . an article that uses Michael Cohen as a source.

From what I can tell, this is just libelous hate post.

Last time I looked, Falwell does not deny anything printed in the article.

Can someone please tell me what is in the article?
They are attacking the financial success of Falwell Jr. at the university since Sr. died. Assets of the university were listed at 259 mil. in 2007. Now over 3 bil. They called it a real estate hedge fund, but downplayed the vast increase of online students. They’re saying campus administrators are dominated by fear of getting fired if they criticize the system. It’s your basic hit/spin job.

Oh brother. They actually told us how and why there was such an increase at Commencement this year. Good grief. I'm proud to be a graduate of Liberty.

You don’t have to look far in the leftist media offerings to see the constant attacks on Falwell for his early, & often, support of Trump. The attacks have even served to out never Trumpers like Brit Hume who quoted scripture in making his attack on Falwell. Falwell has supported Trump from before he won which is why he must be destroyed by the left.
People often wonder why Trump has named certain people to be in his orbit. People are often short sighted in that regard because this is how Trump lets people expose themselves. I wouldn’t want to play chess with Trump.

Well I cannot say how much of the article is true but it doesn't surprise me he has detractors because of his support for Trump. I would have to see more info and more sources to believe there is a real problem.

There's no denying that Liberty has been very successful. The university is also heavily promoted across America to would-be students. They're proud of having a Starbucks, that Chick-fil-A of coffee (not), on campus, too. That doesn't make Falwell a good guy.

There's a story that Falwell and his wife met a 21-year-old pool boy and developed a personal friendship. And, soon "loaned" the young man $1.8 million dollars for purchase and renovation of a youth hostile (someone claimed it is gay-friendly, I don't know). That looks bad enough. Now, add to it the claim by Trump's ex-lawyer Cohen that Falwell wanted his help to prevent racy photos form becoming public.

Falwell, in his position, should be above reproach. That would start with having no association with slimy jewish lawyers and recusing himself from Liberty financial decisions involving friends.

What happened to the Scriptures:
21Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22Abstain from ALL appearance of evil.

How does that have bearing on what we are talking about? If someone lies about you that is not you giving the appearance of evil.
