Did you wish to be more specific with the questions your asking and did you want to adress the questions in the OP? What did you want to know in relation to the SABBATH? I will answer you if you can show me the scriptures that address the questions in the OP. Is that ok? If you have no scripture just say so. I am happy to answer your questions.

You are completely mixed up! :( You choose to believe and follow the false gospel of the SDA church, which culminates in salvation by “grace plus law, faith plus works” which is ANOTHER gospel (Galatians 1:6-9; 2 Corinthians 4:3,4)

The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16).

To “believe” the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.

The gospel is a message of grace to be received through faith. The gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. The gospel is also not the entire word of God.

Prior to the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, Jesus was preaching the gospel of the kingdom to Israel. John the Baptist preached the gospel of the kingdom, which was, ”..Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 3:2).

After the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, there is a distinctive element to the content of the gospel which is called "the mystery of the gospel" (see Ephesians 6:19 and compare with Colossians 1:26-27; 4:3).

This new revelation is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the same body, and fellow-partakers of the promise (Ephesians 3:1-9) Such equality, Jew and Gentile united together in one body was previously unknown.

The distinctive message of the Church is that Jew and Gentile alike may believe the gospel and be united together into ONE BODY (Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:13). Paul did not receive the gospel through man, but through a revelation of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:11-12)

Love God and Neighbor. Doesn't say LOVE SABBATH.

Lets shove some folks in a cell without windows, with no knowledge of the days According to you they would be damned if they could not determine their day of worship. Silly as a Muslim who thinks God will damn them for not praying on the right direction or buttering their bread with the butter side up.

Nope not really Dan, you have been shown through the scriptures why you are in error. If you disagree you are welcome to reply to me posts and the scriptures that show why you a teaching another Gospel. If you cannot than why not believe Gods' WORD and receive his blessings? Only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. JESUS says all those who "KNOWINGLY" follow man made teachings that break Gods' commandments are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9.

Your false claims here are noted but do not support what I have posted or said so are simply your words denying God's
We are only saved only by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not by works lest any man should boast *EPHESIANS 2:8-9. OBEDIENCE to God's Word is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD by faith. We are all sinners in need of a Saviour and God's salvation to save us from our sins. Salvation is from sin (breaking any one of God’s 10 Commandments). Salvation is not that of the false gospel you teach of "ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" that teaches we can to continue in sin and still receive God's salvation and his promises *ROMANS 6:1-23; JOHN 8:31-36; 1 JOHN 2:1-4; 1 JOHN 3:3-10.

According to God's WORD (not mine), those who continue in known unrepentant sin do not know God and need to be Born again into the NEW COVENANT promise to love *HEBREWS 8:10-12; ROMANS 13:8-10; JOHN 3:3-8; 1 JOHN 3:3-10. This is God's work in us and a part of the NEW COVENANT promise of a new heart to love *HEBREWS 8:10-12; PHILIPPIANS 2:13.

If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50 and if we sin willfully after we recieve a knowledge of the truth there remains no sacrifice for sin and a fearful looking forward to of the judgment to come *HEBREWS 10:26-39.

    Hope this is helpful

WRONG! The death, burial and resurrection are a part of the Gospel.

    WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

The Gospel is JESUS <Jesus means Savior; John 1:29> and JESUS is THE WORD OF GOD (John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6). THE WORD OF GOD is the GOSPEL BECAUSE BY FAITH IT IS OUR SAVIOR and this the IS GOOD NEWS to those who BELIEVE. (John 1:1-14; John 1:29; John 17:17; 14:6; Matthew 4:4)

    Lets look at God's Word.......

The Gospel means; G2098 εὐαγγέλιον euaggelion (ev-an-ğe'-liy-on) n. a good message; Good news).

Ok I think most know that the word Gospel means good news or a good message.

After Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.....

    Mark 1
    15,
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL.

Wait a minute? Jesus is ONLY JUST STARTING HIS MINISTRY and has NOT DIED, has not been buried and if he has not died and not been buried he certainly has not been resurrected. Yet here we have Jesus BEGINNING his MINISTRY and preaching the GOSPEL

    and again..................

    Mark 8
    35,
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but WHOSOEVER SHALL LOSE HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE AND THE GOSPELS, THE SAME SHALL SAVE IT.

Well here we have it again the Gospel is being preached BEFORE the death of Jesus and again......

    Matthew 4
    23,
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Seems like Matthew and Mark both agree that Jesus is preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom before the death of Jesus...

    Matthew 9
    35,
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Yep Jesus still going about everywhere preaching the Gospel. His whole Ministry BEFORE His DEATH was preaching the GOSPEL..

    Matthew 11
    4
, Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:
5, The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and THE POOR HAVE THE GOSPEL PREACHED TO THEM.

    and again..............

    Matthew 24
    14,
And this GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM SHALL BE PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Yep Jesus is still preaching the Gospel before His Death and Resurrection. Mathew and Mark both agree.....
Luke talks about Jesus in the Synagogue.....

    Luke 7
    22,
Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor THE GOSPEL IS PREACHED.

Yep Matthew, Mark and Luke all agree the Gospel was being preached BEFORE the DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS.......

    Luke 20
    1,
And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and PREACHED THE GOSPEL, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,

Yep there goes Jesus again teaching the people in the temple and preaching the GOSPEL before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.....

So ok lets bring it all together............

The Good New (Gospel) is JESUS and Jesus is the WORD OF GOD. It is the WORD OF GOD THAT IS THE GOSPEL that we are to BELIEVE IN AND LIVE BY. (Matt 4:4; John 1-1-4; John 3:16). Why do you say it is a "works based doctrine" when we have to BELIEVE EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD? It is by GRACE that we are SAVED <HOW?> THROUGH FAITH and NOT of your selves it is a GIFT of GOD and NOT of WORKS LEST ANY MAN should boast.

Now if you do not know what the GOSPEL is how can you preach it to others? Man does not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the MOUTH of GOD.

Jesus's ministry started since he was a child but more so after the Baptism of John and his temptation in the wilderness where he soon after started preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God and REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND! (Matthew 4:17; 23; 9:35; 11:5; 24:14; 26:16)

Did you know that the Gospel was being preached BEFORE the NEW Testament scriptures (Hebrews 4:2)? The GOSPEL is indeed JESUS; the Word of God and he is the good news of the Old and NEW Testament scripture that we are to BELIEVE and FOLLOW.

    Mark 1:1
The beginning of the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST; THE SON OF GOD <the WORD OF GOD; John 1:1-14; 17:17; 14:6>

THE GOSPEL WAS PREACHED IN THE OLD TESTAMENT....

    Galatains 3
    8,
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, PREACHED BEFORE THE GOSPEL UNTO ABRAHAM, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Yep once again seems like Abraham had the Gospel in his day in the OLD Testament well before Mt Sinai...

    Luke 4
    17,
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
    18,
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because HE HAS ANNOTATED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Well it seems like Isaiah from the OLD TESTAMENT knew about the Gospel (Isaiah 52:7 pointing to Jesus in Luke 7:22) so the Gospel indeed was being preached BEFORE the DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS even in the OLD TESTAMENT.......

The Gospel was preached to God's people leaving Egypt...

    Context...

    Hebrews 3
    7,
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9, When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
    10,
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11, So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.
12, Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13, But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
    14, For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
    15,
While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16, For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
    17,
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
    18,
And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19, So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

    Continuing...

    Hebrews 4

1, Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2, FOR UNTO US WAS THE GOSPEL PREACHED AS WELL AS UNTO THEM; BUT THE WORD PREACHED DID NOT PROFIT THEM NOT BEING MIXED WITH FAITH IN THEM THAT HEARD IT.

    In summary....

    * The "GOSPEL" meaning is simply "Good News"
    * The "GOSPEL" was being preached in the OLD TESTAMENT as well as the NEW TESTAMENT scriptures
    * JESUS preached the "GOSPEL" BEFORE his death buriel and resurrection

The "Gospel" (good news) is EVERY Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God and it is God's Word that we are to live by and have life (Matthew 4:4). The "Gospel" was being preached before the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (e.g. Mark 1:15; 8:35; Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:35; 11:5; 24:14; Luke 4:18; 7:22; 20:11)

The Good New (Gospel) is indeed Jesus, His life, death, resurrection and new administration as our great high priest, but Jesus is the Word of God. The Gospel is the WORD OF GOD and it is the WORD OF GOD that we are to BELIEVE and live by. (Matthew 4:4; John 1-1-4; John 3:16).

If we are NOT BELIEVING and LIVING by the WORD OF GOD we have yet to experience God's GRACE through FAITH, because OBEDIENCE is the FRUIT of FAITH. If their is NO FRUIT you are still in your SINS and do not know him who LOVES ALL (1 John 3:3-10; James 2:18; 20; 26; Hebrews 10:26-27; 6:4-8).

If you do not agree with anything I have posted by all means please address the posts and the scriptures provided in the posts and your reasons why you disagree with supporting scriptures.

If you cannot why do you not BELIEVE the Gospel is God's Word? If you do not know what the Gospel is then you are building your house on the sand and great shall be the fall thereof.

God loves you and wants you to be ready for his return. If you hear his voice please harden not your heart. Search the scriptures and see if these things be so.

God's WORD is the GOSPEL. God's Sheep hear His Voice (the Word) and follow it.

Sure it does you are confused. The first four commandments are how we love God and the second 6 commandments are how we love our neighbore. That is why JESUS says; "ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS (Love to God and man) HANG ALL THE LAW AND the prophet *MATTHEW 22:36-40 and "IF YOU LOVE ME KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS *JOHN 14:15. Paul and James say the same things as shown in ROMANS 13:8-10; ROMANS 8:4; ROMANS 3:31; HEBREWS 8:10-12 and JAMES 2:8-11. According to God's WORD (not mine) in times of "IGNORANCE" God' winks at but when he gives us a "KNOWLEDGE" of the truth expects us to "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW" his Word *ACTS 17:30-31. If we continue to sin "WILLFULLY" after we receive a "KNOWLEDGE" of the truth there remains no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking forward to of judgment to come *HEBREWS 10:26-39.

It is JESUS (not me brother) that says if we (knowingly) follow man made teachings and traditions after we have received a "KNOWLEDGE" of the truth that break the commandments of God we are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9. Now if you have no scripture for your catholic traditions of Sunday worship and you have no scripture that says that "SUNDAY" is "THE LORDS DAY" or that God's 4th commandment has been "ABOLISHED" and we are now commanded to keep "SUNDAY" as a "HOLY DAY" than who are you following?

Something to think and pray about brother.

God's WORD hear his Voice (the Word of God) and follow him. Those who do not hear his Voice do not follow.

The LAW AND THE PROPHETS is the Covenant between God and Israel (Christians are not under the LAW). “MY COMMANDMENTS” are those commandments given by Jesus in the Gospels to teach us of the New Covenant ... Jesus made no Sabbath command in the New Testament and the Apostolic letters specifically state that there is no Sabbath judgement binding on Gentiles.

Present where Jesus commanded Christians to keep the Sabbath.
    (It isn’t in the Bible).

Only a guideline for complicated births? That's not true. The Official Guidelines of The SDA makes it CLEAR the choice of whether to abort or not is the mothers and the selective abortions are just fine with Adventist hospitals and abortion mills. You are not being honest. Your own members call out the church for it's abominable pro-choice position. EG White was against abortion. How did your church go off the rails and decide it's ok? Money maybe?

This is what your senior Vice President said about how your church is PRO-CHOICE regardless of what you claim. Watch this video (although I'm betting you won't) and tell me what Andrew has got wrong with what he exposes about his own church, the SDA. Why is it important to keep one of the ten commandments and break another? Scripture only please!

Sorry brother you are confused. According to God's WORD (not mine) God's ISRAEL in the "NEW COVENANT" are all those who "BELIEVE AND FOLLOW GOD'S WORD". Gentiles are now "GRAFTED IN" *ROMANS 11:13-27; ROMANS 9:6-8; ROMANS 10:11-13; GALATIANS 3:28-29; EPHESIANS 2:11-13; ROMANS 2:28-29; COLOSSIANS 3:11.

If you are not a part of God's ISRAEL in the NEW COVENANT you have n o part in the "NEW COVENANT PROMISE" of a "NEW HEART TO LOVE".

HEBREWS 8:10-12 [10], BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: [11], And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. [12], For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

If you have "REPENTED" of your "SINS" (breaking God's Commandments *1 JOHN 3:4) and through faith in God's WORD been "FORGIVEN" for your "SINS" than you are not "UNDER THE LAW". If however, you are still "KNOWINGLY" practicing "SIN" by breaking anyone of God's 10 commandments you stand guilty before God of "SIN" *JAMES 2:10-11; ROMANS 3:19-20.

Sin is defined in God's WORD in the NEW TESTAMENT as the transgression or breaking of any one of God's 10 commandments *ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; JAMES 2:10-11. God's 4th commandment is one of God's 10 commandments that give us the "KNOWLEDGE" of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4. If we break it just like any one of God's 10 commandments we stand guilty before God "UNDER THE LAW" *ROMANS 3:19-20; JAMES 2:10-11.

Now as to the claim that there is no commands by JESUS to keep the SABBATH? Why would you think there needs to be when JESUS claims he is LORD AND CREATOR of the SABBATH DAY *MATTHEW 12:8 that he made for all mankind *MARK 2:27-28 and His people had already been keeping the SABBATH according to his 4th commandment for 4000 years and told everyone not one jot o tittles we to pass from the law until "HEAVEN AND EARTH" passed away *MATTHEW 5:17-19?

Now lets get this straight and talk scripture. JESUS, JAMES, PETER, JOHN and all the new COVENANT teach that everyone of God's 10 commandments including God's 4th commandment give us the "KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL; SIN AND RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172 and if we break "ANY ONE OF THEM" we stand guilty before God of SIN *JAMES 2:10-11.

The scriptures tell us JESUS and all the disciples kept the SABBATH * LUKE 4:16; MATTHEW 12:1-12. JESUS taught us how to correctly keep the SABBATH and that is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath *MATTHEW 12:1-12; MARK 3:1-5; LUKE 6:1-10; JOHN 7:22-23; 9:14; MARK 1:21; MARK 6:2; LUKE4:16; 31; LUKE 14:1; 23:56. JESUS taught us that the SABBATH was made for mankind *MARK 2:27 and that he is LORD and creator of the SABBATH *MARK 2:28; JOHN 1:1-4; 14; HEBREWS 1:2; EPHESIANS 3:9; COLOSSIANS 1:16-17.

So JESUS being the creator of heaven and earth and "LORD" of the SABBATH day *MATTHEW 12:8 is the one who made the SABBATH for all mankind and is the same one who commands us to keep it holy *EXODUS 20:8-11. Now brother, even after the death, burial and ressurrection of JESUS all the dsiciples and the church were still keeping the Sabbath according to God's 4th commandment *ACTS 13:14-15; ACTS 13:42-44; ACTS 16:13; ACTS 17:1-2; ACTS 18:4-5.

All of God's LAW (10 commandments) are taught and upheld by JESUS and all the apostles and JAMES says if we break any one of them we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11.

We might finish off this section with this...

HEBREWS 4:9 [9], SO THEN IT REMAINS FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO KEEP THE SABBATH.

It will be a sad thing at the second coming when all those who thought that had salvation only found out too late that then never did because they had the chance to hear God's WORD but chose to turn away from it not knowing the hour of their visitiation to hear the Words of JESUS depart from me you who work iniquity, I never knew you *MATTHEW 7:22-26.

REVELATION 14:12 [12 Here is the patience of the saints here are they who KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND THE FAITH OF JESUS.

How do we know that we know him?

1 JOHN 2:3-4 [3], And HEREBY WE KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.
[4], HE THAT SAYS I KNOW HIM AND KEEPS NOT HIS COMMANDMENTS IS A LIAR AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM.

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed brother.

You have not stated any facts. You have only provided your own words which are not God's WORD. Only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow them *ROMANS 3:4. Ignoring God's WORD does not make them dissappear.

Look my friend, you spreading misinformation from some other non SDA source is the same as bearing false witness and spreading lies. I will leave that between you and God. I had a listen to your you-tube friend and all he was doing was triyng to draw inferences that were not being said or stated in the materials he was presenting. A guideline is not an official statement of belief.

Now I can understand why you are seeking to go off topic to the OP. It is because you have no scripture to answer any one of the questions being posed in the OP. Where is the scripture that says God's 4th Commandment has been "ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep SUNDAY as a "HOLY DAY"? If you have no scriptures than just be "honest" and say so. If you have no scripture and breaking any one of God's 10 Commandments is sin *JAMES 2:10-11 and it is JESUS that says if we knowingly follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God we are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9, than who do you follow?

Now in times of "IGNORANCE" God winks at but when but when he gives us a "KNOWLEDGE of the truth calls all men everywhere to "BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD" *ACTS 17:30-31. Now if we "WILLFULLY SIN" after we receive a "KNOWLEDGE" of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking forward to of Judgement to come. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God *HEBREWS 10:26-39.

    Who do you follow?

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

Absolutely. God is not an idiot. You have to convince me God is a absolute moron, a maniacal monstrous chimp who will throw a fit if you don't enforce adoration on particular day.

Not really, you have just been shown through the scripture how silly your interpretation of the scriptures are by trying to argue that there is only 6 commandments in God's 10 Commandments. Perhaps you need to re-think what you believe. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it *ROMANS 3:4. According to Gods' WORD not mine if we break any one of God's 10 Commandments we stand guilty before God of sin. It we sin "WILFULLY" after we receive a "KNOWLEDGE" of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sin but a fearful looking forward to of judgment to come. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God *HEBREWS 10:26-39.

I will ask you the same question as the others here. If JESUS says all those who knowingly follow the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of GOD are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9, and there is not one scripture in all of Gods' WORD that says God's 4th commandment has been "ABOLISHED" and we are now commanded to keep "SUNDAY" as a "HOLY DAY," than who are you following?

May you receive Gods' WORD and be blessed.

I have built a web site that is now at 2.1 million views - rockytopva. My aim here is to build the faith and leave SDA type doctrine alone.

No one builds faith if they do not follow God's WORD. They lead others away from it. What is it I have shared here that is not Gods' WORD? If I have only shared Gods' WORD than why do you not believe it?

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps. - Numbers 10:2

    There are two trumpets!

    1. The Word
    2. The Spirit

If your words were Spirit as well as Word I would follow it. But it all sounds to me nothing but SDA arrogance.

When we had a plating department in our facility I worked under a chemist. This chemist was very smart and very good at math. When he laid out equations he did so in very neat handwriting and there would be much activity as he turned the results of an analysis into an addition. I would take his calculations and put them in the form of visual basic functions and sub procedures.

Of all the years I worked with this man I had one opportunity to witness to him. I made my presentation while he was analyzing adhesion under a microscope in which you could hear the sounds... Scratch, scratch, scratch! Scratch scratch, scratch! After my presentation he just continued to look under the microscope as if ignored everything I said so I just continued in my work. Then... The scratch scratch, scratching stopped! And he speaks!

"You know what I think it is?" He says while continuing to look under the microscope... "I think it is arrogance!"

And then, without taking his eyes off the microscope, he continues his work... Scratch, scratch, scratch! Scratch scratch, scratch! I did not reply but went about my work. Inside I feared he was right. In many cases religion can inhabit too much personal ego.

I am currently studying the old South Eastern Methodist revivals...

    The Life of David Sullins

The Life of George Clark Rankin

In my denomination, Pentecostal Holiness (PH), the revivals were like the Methodist before us, just subtract 100 years. The pH revivals in the 1950's were exactly like the Methodist in the 1850's.In studying the old Methodist Cripple Creek revival I find our Pentecostal Holiness church was structured exactly like their meetings. As the Methodist revivals dissipated around 1900 so ours did around 2000. I have traveled Wythe County up and down and the only soul that remembers the Cripple Creek revival was a gentleman in his 90's, and he gave me recollections of what his mother told him.

The apostle Paul says that just a little leaven leavens the whole lump. Just a little ego, and the whole lump is bad! When our evangelists were uneducated they were good as you would never know what they would pull out of the Word of God. Send them to Seminary, and they come out with an ego, and tend to be dry in their delivery.

If denominations could hold the spirit of revival I would be more of a fan. But in my experience, it all to easily becomes ego. And, I tell people all the time that the unction of God is not Ego, as a matter, as scripture says...

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
    23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
    27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. - 1 Corinthians 1

Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? - 1 Corinthians 5:6

I would say that it is impossible to experience the fullness of God with an ego. The ego has got to be dispelled for the camel to go through the eye of the needle and get the beneficial things from the Spirit of God!

No one has God's Spirit if they do not believe and follow God's WORD. God's Spirit works through the Word of God as we believe it and not against it. "THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK UNTO YOU THEY ARE SPIRIT AND THEY ARE LIFE" *JOHN 6:63.

JOHN 17:17, Sanctify them through your truth: YOUR WORD IS TRUTH.

"But when he, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH , is come, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come *JOHN 16:13

God's Spirit works through the truth of God's WORD not outside of it.

You do not have to follow me as I have never asked you to. I have only pointed you to God's WORD. He must increase but I must decrease. It is God's WORD we need to follow and there is no scripture that says God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep "SUNDAY" as a "HOLY DAY". JESUS says all those who follow man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of GOD are not following God *MATTHEW 15:3-9.

I believe God's WORD how about you?

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

THREATS and terrorism that the world is flat is not going to convince a person who believes it is round.

    "6 commandments in God's 10 Commandments"

Well now you position is obliterated having to resort to straw man and deception. Also only 5 of those are in the 10. Love your neighbor as yourself is not one of the original 10.

Give you an example. Your SABBATH is like a drivers license. Now we Drive on PRIVATE property. Driving laws apply Which ones? What laws apply? I don't need a license to drive on private property and I may not need to follow all the rules.

Jesus was asked what law applies. He did not say Sabbath applies.

Quite easy COMMON SENSE. Jesus was asked WHICH ONES, Which COMMANDMENTS?

Jesus could have easily said ALL OF THEM. HE did NOT. Instead He specified those that are required. SABBATH was not one.

Fact. Jesus Christ NEVER teaches keep the sabbath.....IN ALL OF SCRIPTURE.

Do you believe God is so dumb as to never mention what you consider the most central part of a person's salvation?
