    Scripture also says.
.1Jn_1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

No one is any better than anyone else. Your pride is unbecoming of a true Christian Only God is above everyone else.

:Laugh And you completely continue to miss the point. You wouldn’t know hypocrisy if it hit you upside the head however ..... touché you can speak out of 2 sides while giving the appearance you are honorable... nice trick, but it’s getting old & nobody’s buying it.

The thread is moot, the OP is wrong, These new Believers were actual converts and the verses say they will not talk of conversion but maturity because they cannot fall away. It is not a translation issue but a English sentence , a structure understanding issue.

Are you actually speaking of Hebrews 6:6? ". . . And they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. . . ."

And how is the question posed in the OP wrong?

OK. I wanted to make sure I understood your interpretation. Thank you. The whole of ". . . for those who were once enlightened,
"and have tasted of the heavenly gift,
"and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
"And have tasted the good word of God,
"and the powers of the world to come,
"And they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh,
"and put him to an open shame. . . ." All of which falls under that subject of being ". . . impossible . . . ."

you quote well, what is your point?

    Heb 6:3
And this will we do, if God permit.
What will be spoken about , possibly later? Salvation.

Why is initial Salvation not going to be talked about ?

    Heb 6:9
But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak

He wants to speaks of maturity

so verses 4 -8 have to do with Salvation and why it is impossible to fall away. Once it is settled it is settled

Can you crucify Christ again? every time you sin?

Christ died for ALL SIN...He was God and sufficient to cover SIN total., Anything you can do cannot change His work or His love for us or keep His word

The point is, the point of the the OP. How as a Calvinist, one understands Hebrews 6:6 and of course with its context.

the point is incorrect or cannot be argued because the description of Hebrews 6 is wrong. The premise of the OP is wrong

Saying a question is wrong and the premise of the question is wrong, saying it is "wrong" explains nothing as to how what or why it is wrong.

Hebrews 6:4-6, ". . . For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, And they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. . . ."
