What To Think About J.D. Greear?

Ugh, I had high hopes for him. Another case of seeking accolades from the world.

It seems like we've had a problem with judging a pastor by the seats they can fill. At this point I'd take a president who was faithful with a smaller congregation over these mega church pastors.

"He's not my president." (I.e., I am not SBC.) My earlier impressions of him is that he is a little too moderate in his faith and practice. On his view of the gender-neutral pronoun business specifically, I think he is wrong.

elect a new Sbc president?
Of course there will be a new SBC President come June. (Greear's two years are up)
But the people Greear has placed on denominational committees will remain there influencing things for a number of years.
Doesn't he see himself as somehow being a modern prophet also?
More so an arbiter of such. Just look at those he's anointed:

Summit Life with J.D. Greear • Are There Modern Day Prophets in the Church?

Greear: "I am very grateful for the prophets God has raised up"

Greear: "my friend David Platt....another example: Mark Dever"

Greear: "God is using them to speak to us. We must heed the message being given and ask God what we need to do with the truths they embody."

Longing for the good old days for likes of Adrian Rogers and Charles Stanley as SBC presidents!

More and more I am eschewing associations. I have called for the disbanding of ARBCA. I have deep reservations about the SBC. Cooperation between local churches should be informal.

J.D. Greear and Gender-Neutral Pronouns – Reformed Truths

First, this is NOT a discussion on transgenderism. This thread assumes it is sin so we are not debating that. My question is, what are we to do about teachers like J.D. Greaar (the president of the SBC) and their apparent collapse to culture?
I dont want this to turn into a Calvinist debate, but I must point out that it was the Calvinist faction of the SBC that put J.D. into power.
