If I'm looking for a church to visit, & I see one with a sign that says "King James Bible Only" or similar, I pass it up, as I know it has at least one false doctrine.

How do you know its a false doctrine? They might believe modern translations are fine, yet choose to use KJV for unity purposes.

Those types of churches wouldn't put "King James Only" on their sign. Those types of churches aren't outspoken about being KJV Preferred, they just silently use that in their services.

My friend is a pastor at a kjv only church. The only reason they are KJV only is so when the kids memorize verses its all the same. They decided to be a Something only and KJV won the vote.

Because of Me? - Reformed Truths
"The sign read, “How many people will be in Heaven because of you?”
First, let me say I understand what they mean. BUT, this should never be asked, at least not in this way. The truth of the matter is nobody will be in Heaven because of me. Not one single person will be in Heaven because of anything that I have done. People will only be in Heaven because of Christ and what He has done. Does God use us as tools in his salvation plan? Yes. Are we the cause of salvation? Absolutely not. It is bad and dangerous theology."

A good example of sanctimonious, Pharisaical gnat-straining. And one can equally say about the above "let me say I understand what they mean" but the above could also be "bad...theology" because Paul said I am made all things to all men, that I [you got that? "I"] might by all means save some (1Co.9:22). If Paul were alive and had written that today on his website, he would have been chewed-up by the all sanctimonious brethren.
Or how about if Ezekiel were alive to day and had posted the following on the BB:
Eze 3:16 And it came to pass at the end of seven days, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Eze 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. Eze 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Eze 3:19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Eze 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Eze 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

The irony is that that sign is far better theology than the Calvinistic article judging it. Many men will be in hell because we (I'm including myself) did not preach to them and, if unconfessed, I guarantee you that we will " 'fess up" at the judgment seat of Christ.

There is a church in on Defense Highway in Annapolis MD that has a sign on the roadside that states, "We only use the Authorized 1611 Version Bible." Put another way it reads, "If you are not KJVO you are not welcome here." I used to drive past that church all the time. That sign never failed to grieve me.

Paul wouldn't have put it on his website.
The article has nothing to do with Calvinism.

Or, you could have visited and asked them if that's what they meant.

The posted article condemned an evangelistic church sign, one which was in tune with the Bible, by gnat-straining.
I gave a full answer in post #28.
Then posts were condemning KJVO church signs, also by gnat-straining.
    So I pointed that out.
    You're not the victim here.
Remember, I'm the one you've called things similar to mentally unstable and crazy (I don't recall the exact terms but they're in writing in public on the board).

So someone is going to be in Heaven because of George Antonios? How blasphemous and arrogant!

This from the man who just complained about insults.

I am made all things to all men, that I [you got that? "I"] might by all means save some (1Co.9:22).
So someone is going to be heaven because of Paul? "How blasphemous and arrogant!"

    Sanc-ti-mo-nious-ness. Uber-spirituality.

Even the author of that gnat-straining article you quoted had enough grace to say of the church sign he saw: "First, let me say I understand what they mean."

What in the world are you talking about? English is my 3rd language. I have a photostatic copy of the 1611 and I understand all its words as in my regular KJB. The differences are in the forms of the letters and sometimes spelling.

You can go back as far back as the 1500s and still understand English speakers.

Is it possible you have misconceptions about the 1611?
